2015 pricing opinions

Hey Guys,

After going back and forth on ordering a 2014, It came to my attention that 2015 models will soon start being built this year around late July and into August, with cars arriving Sept and early Oct. The dealer I'm working with doesn't have the pricing for the 2015 models yet. He said he could price the car at $700 over invoice. Do you think $500-700 over invoice would be a decent deal ordering a new 2015 model?

Thanks!

I've never bought a car this early in its production year so I'm not sure what discount to expect.

$700 over ED invoice is what I was able to get on my 2015 328i for pick up 14 Aug, but I had to shop a little to get it.

Theres currently no incentives for the 2015. I ordered a 2014 M Sport manual and got the $1500 option allowance. Basically my CA tried to look for a current car they ordered going into production so they can modify it to my spec. Manual trans is built in South Africa and auto trans in Germany. CA got in touch with me letting me know there's no 2014 manual trans in production available. I would have to order a 2015 and won't get the $1500 option allowance because its only for 2014 models. Plus production will take place in August. I said hell no give me a 2014 Sport Auto paddle shift trans instead. Thankfully they have one going in production next week and was able to successfully modify the order to my spec. So now I'm able to get the $1500 option allowance and get the car much sooner and wifey is happy too because she can drive it as well.

Yea, my dealer wasn't even sure they could even order a 2014 anymore, because of their slots left and because the 15's are going into production in a couple months. Obviously if I ordered one now, or bought one off the lot (Can't find one with my specs) I'd get a better deal off MSRP, but I don't think that $1,000 - $1500 extra discount on a 14 is going to be worth it considering I'll be buying a 2014 model and then the 15 is out a month later, I'm thinking the depreciation would be worse.

If you're buying than it's worth getting the 15 and specing it out to your choice. For me I'm leasing and I also lucked out on modifying one that's already in production. It would've been prob a $50/mo diff btw the 14 and 15 for me which would've been a deal breaker for my cheap a$$

We just ordered a 435i M-Sport fully loaded up to an including the leather dash. $1000 over ED invoice.

I'm sure you could get another couple $100 off but I was fine going in with $1K over. No need to be greedy and hopefully I'll get some local goodwill down the road should I need it.

All that said. I'm pretty sure all the existing incentives don't apply to 2015s or ED.

We asked for late Aug delivery dates. If incentives for a 2015 ED are available before mid-Aug when we need to pay for our car I'd love to know about them.

Oh and $700 over sounds great but watch for the $200 doc fees and be sure to check all the other numbers like title, lein, tire tax .......
