Weird Bluetooth Issue
I got a new phone yesterday (galaxy note 2) and it pairs fine with the bmw Bluetooth. But, once it is paired, the phone dials itself and I have to end the call. After that, it behaves normally. Since there are very few options to configure, I am not sure why the phone is doing this. Anyone ever have this issue? I tried unpairing and removing the phone and then re-pairing, but the self-dialing is still happening on first connection.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Praz |

Yeah - not sure why I said that - you're right, most likely it is the phone. I've connected a Galaxy S2 and iPhone to it without any issues. Perhaps something to do w/ BT 4.0 on the Note II? I'll check on XDA and whatnot.
BTW - the last BT update for the 328i was in the summer right? Because I updated mine in Germany during my ED. |

there is a BT update that was released a couple months ago. you can download it bmwusa.com. if you search google "f30 bluetooth update" youll find some forums that link directly to the page. thats how i got it.
i just got a VZW note 2 and it pairs and syncs fine with my car. my only problem is that emails dont sync which is a bummer. only text messages sync besides contacts, etc. my previous htc rezound was able to sync everything including emails. |

Yeah I figured it out - it wasn't the care (kind of). I use Navigon for Android for navigation, and I had turned on bluetooth output. I didn't think that would work, since I don't have enhanced bluetooth, but apparently voice directions do come through the bluetooth; but then the phone shows as engaged. Once I turned that off, everything worked fine - so far good
