Cargo Area Dimensions

Hi Folks, I'm doing a PCD delivery of our 340 GT M-Sport on Friday, and I realized I don't know the actual dimensions of the cargo area. I searched this forum and google and I swear I couldn't find any actual measurements.

Since we're driving the car back across country, it's important that the luggage we bring fits in the cargo area with the covers in place and back seats in reclined upright position. Could anyone pretty please take some measurements for me?

I'm looking for height from floor to cover, width at opening and further back between the wheels, and depth to seat back at floor level and depth to seat back at cover level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Height from floor to cover: 17.5"
Width at opening 44"
and further back between the wheels: 37"
Depth to seat back at floor level 41" center...40" at edges
Depth to seat back at cover level.: Because of the shape of the underside of the liftgate as it interacts with the cover, it's not clear to me what the proper measuring point is at the rear of the cargo area.

Thumbs up

Thank you so much! Super helpful. I can see how that last measurement would be tough to get.

Plenty of luggage space for four men or one man and one woman.

You should leave the cargo covers stored under the floor and take everything inside for the night when at hotels along the way. An obviously empty trunk is far less likely to attract thieves.

Hahahaha, indeed. We can fit our giant full size suitcase, two max size carryons and a couple more bags, so, perfect. I expected nothing less since we purchased this car to be a road trip monster, but glad to have it confirmed.

Yeah, I plan to do that at night, but there will be many times where we will be parked in public during the day, between hotels, without an eye on the car. So, I want it to look as empty as possible. Luckily, having temp tags will make it less obvious than otherwise that we are tourists, so that's good too. Thanks for the tip!

I bought my GT specifically to be able to haul four adults plus luggage for a weekend trip comfortably on a five to seven hour drive, and it does so very well.

As advised above, this car is a cargo beast even with the back seats up and cargo covers in place.

We fit 1 Max Size Rigid Suitcase, 2 Max Size Rigid Carry-Ons and 1 Max Size Soft Carry-On, as well as a large camera bag, and a large bag full of odds and ends.

There was still also a large area on top of the full size suitcase and under the cargo cover that we eventually filled up with stuff acquired on the trip. Thanks for the help guys, and hopefully this post can be of use for future info seekers.
