help with engine not starting..
Hello to all, I rebuilt my b38 1.5 3cyl petrol engine a few days ago, but car will not start. Timing is correct to spec, all plugs/sensors are in place, fuel is delivered on all 3 cylinders, compression at 150 to all cylinders, spark is available everywhere, new spark plugs, etc, etc.
car cranks but does not start. no significant errors are coming up either on obd2, carly or other prof tools. The only 4 errors I get are: INFO 000001 INFO 1F2802 INFO 21A023 INFO 140011 The two at the bottom, are coming up after 2-3cranks. when I clear them, they reappear. Engine was rebuilt due to a melted piston. Other than misfires on cylinder 3, car was working fine before the rebuild, but now it is more than dead... I ran out of hope and ideas. Any new ideas? (sorry for posting on the b48, could not find a b38 thread Cheers George |

Hey sir,
Have you checked fuel pressure? you said that fuel is delivered, but is it at the right pressure? Also: are the fuel injectors equalized and fully working? I would check if any of them are stuck open or stuck closed. Hope it helps! |
