Help with colour combo - new 4GC order

Cannot decide between these 2 colour/upholstery options for my new F36. Expert help required please guys!! Ivory White in the LCI now includes the lower dash - which was black with this option in the pre-LCI

Alpine White with Black Dakota with blue stitching
Carbon Black with Ivory White Dakota

Since the difference is only in color/nuance, these are 100% subjective options. Please don't buy a car customized after a forum poll on the internet.
And yeah, i voted :P

Objectively speaking the Carbon Black paint will be harder to keep looking clean than Alpine White. The black paint will also show imperfections a lot easier (swirls, etc), so you'll have to be very careful washing it.

Neither one for me...white is too plain, carbon black (with blue metallic sparkle) is too dark. My choice would be either Snapper Rocks Blue with Ivory White or Individual Tanzanite Blue with either the Night Blue or Ivory White leather. I'm considering a 4GC for my next car because of the additional colors and leather choices available over the sedan.

I have a 4GC in tanzanite and ivory, I don't think I'd have that next time the white leather is tough to keep clean.

Definitely Carbon Black. Wish that was available on F30. I am (like others here probably) very particular about car care. I have MG and do 2 bucket wash, after foam gun, etc. Carbon Black would not be that much more work...for me, anyway.

imho both are snoozefests.... maybe black with red would be nice or white with red... i think the whites are just so boring. and then white interior is very hard to keep clean. but these are all my own opinions. you do you!

The colour choice is very limited, that's the problem. I'd like to see at least one rich blue and one rich red in there amongst the standard colours. Snapper rocks blue is ok but very turquoise in the metal when you see it, and a bit garish, imho. Let's have some more standard colours BMW, please

my 2015 GC was MG/CR, I thought of AW but here in LA is a very common color and when its dirty it really shows it.
I had a black X3, hard to keep clean and as mentioned above it will show imperfections.
I have SRB/NB on my 2018 GC yes its a bit loud but after a while you get used to it.
at one point I was set on EBII/COGNAC.
choose what you really like, after all you'll be the one driving the car.
good luck.

White with red interior is stunning. Red also works with black exterior, but black interior only works with red exterior.

Make your own choice, not a forum "pick". IMO, white leather too tough to keep clean, even blue jeans mark it.

I'm interested to see what other BMW owners and enthusiasts think as I am neutral when it comes to these two colour options, so happy to be influenced

I think it's a shame mineral white is not an option. My e92 was MW/CR I loved that combination.

Also a shame that silverstone metallic isn't an option either - a lovely shade of blue silver available on the M4

Go for Alpine White & Coral Red interior.

The sexy curves on an F36 need to be seen in a lighter exterior colour! AW shows them best

This is the conclusion I am fast arriving at - the lines and curves of the car are best displayed in the lighter colours, AW and silver.
I went into my local dealership yesterday and they had a carbon black 6 series, an AW 4 coupé and a silver 3 series touring in the showroom under bright lights. On the forecourt, they also had a range of models in AW, a silver 3 series saloon and a 5 series in carbon black. It was overcast outside. The carbon black looked fantastic under the lights but indifferent outside on a typical grey UK day - just looked black. The silver was ok but not nearly as nice as my old E61’s Titanium Silver. AW looked good inside and outside, IMHO, and you could appreciate the lines and curves of the car from all angles. I also liked the contrast of the M Sport exterior black gloss trim with AW, and M Performance parts such as black grilles, exhaust tips etc. also look best against white, IMHO
All very subjective, I know, but AW its going to be – for the time being, that is

Yes, if I go AW, it will either be with black or cognac interior, as they now call saddle brown. I've never liked coral red, tbh, especially with the full red lower dash in the 4GC

hmm, I just looked it up, and I think it would look great with wood trim.

personally, I would avoid going with black leather if you are ordering your car from the factory. make it unique you know? the saddle brown would go really nicely.

have you given the mineral gray exterior colour a look? it would look very nice on the GC especially with coral red.

In your situation I would go with the black paint and saddle brown interior.

What about the dark Mediterranean blue with saddle brown interior? Stunning colour combo. By far my favourite for BMW and Benz.

Not available for UK 4 series buyers, I'm afraid
