EDIT 12/28/2012: Car has arrived in the US. 5 short weeks until delivery.....

EDIT 12/22/2012: My deal: $49,645 MSRP, $46,780 Sale Price, $45,030 capitalized cost after $1000 holiday rebate and $750 loyalty rebate. $5,168 at signing (7 MSDs, first month payment, documentation, tax, title). Monthly payment = $513 includes tax.

EDIT 12/20/2012: Vessel is the FLORIDA HIGHWAY!

EDIT 12/17/2012: Vehicle is on the boat, due at port on 12/26. Nothing shipping from port until 1/1. Earliest available performance center delivery is 1/31 and I booked it.

EDIT 12/09/2012: Car is built, waiting at port for shipping vessel! CA has applied holiday credit, monthly payment ~$514 after taxes.

EDIT Mid October: Added Sport Auto Transmission to the order. Thanks for the input, guys!

Order placed today! German build, production set for early December. Performance Center Delivery estimated mid to late January. Whoohoo!

If you are referring to the sport paddles/shifter, I decided against it. Felt it was something I'd enjoy for a month then forget about.

It's more than just paddle shifters! It's a different looking (better looking) gear selector and more importantly enhanced for lightning fast shifts in sport mode. "Must have" option since your build appears to include all the options for driving enhancements and performance.

Here's a good thread on the Sport ZF8: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=751347

Are the quick shifts on the sport transmission when using paddles only or all the time regardless?

All the time but it behaves differently in the different driving modes. Fastest in Sport and Sport+. I don't have first-hand experience with it though, only what I know from others posting on the forums have said.

From the posts I have read it is incredibly fast to shift, rivaling if not exceeding the speed of a dual clutch transmission.

Nice setup. Congrats! ZAS? No Performance summer tires? You will get a squared setup and deletes increased speed limiter. I have 6MT but +1 on the sports auto. I have it on my wife's 528 and really like it

Great catch! I've contacted my CA about switching to Summer Tires. I don't remember BMWConfig.com even asking me when I spec'd it out, so I forgot to even check it.

I'm also having him add the Sport Transmission with paddle shifters. Color me convinced!

Did you also have your CA price out the M Sport Line? It was only around $25/mo more to add it for my car. It's almost worth it just for the sumptuous steering wheel

Haha, I am probably being worse than your salesman! I should get some of his commission! Feel free to ignore me, it is after all your car and not mine

I'm starting to think you are my CA in disguise!

Not sure why but the M-sport hasn't done much for me. I'm very happy with the look of mineral gray sport line. I'm doing a 3 year lease so won't be in this car for 10 years like I was my 2002 325i. My hope is I'll fall in love with the LCI M-Sport 3 years from now when I need to lease again.

I think going without m-sport is a wise choice here. Save the $25 and put it towards your next car.

And you get the red stitching on the seats you cant get in the M Sport! Sounds like you have a plan though enjoy it, it's going to be an awesome car!

Awesome!

I havent seen a sport line with this color combination yet. The high gloss black will contrast very well.

Is it possible for the performance delivery center to do tinting prior to my pickup or will dealership need to do it?
