Hi all,

I have scoured the depths of google and this forum to try and find esys downloads. All I have found are broken or removed links, and people who used to provide the software that no longer do. Does anybody know where I can get the software?

This thread http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=965385 is almost always on the first page. Shawnsheridan provides the links, hard to believe you haven't heard of him yet. I guess you didn't really "scoured the dephts of google and this forum" because there are two very active threads about where to download the software.

What I meant was, there is no clear thread/post anywhere that specifically says "Here is where to get the software". Well there are but most are no longer valid. I had read that post you linked, all be it not the entire thread. But I asked here, and I received. Now when someone else types in "where can I get esys", they will find this thread and its much easier than sorting through hundreds of posts, reading each one and trying to find where to get it, then messaging people with full inboxes and people that don't respond.

Considering the contents of the sticky at the top of the page in this forum section it's a good thing it's not a snake, as you'd be in cardiac arrest by now. That said, I agree, it's a royal PITA to have to post a request to Shawn for the links and then have him PM it to you. What there should be is a sticky where Shawn posts the links, periodically updating them as required, and a locked sticky at that, making it 'read only' so that it doesn't end up 600 pages long.

I agree. If that existed, I would have never posted this question.
