435i M Sport Brakes, dust, and chrome wheels

I plan to chrome the rims of my 2015 435i convertible, but I'm hearing the M Sport Brakes create uncontrollable amounts of dust and it wouldn't be advised to proceed with the chroming. Are these brakes really THAT bad with dust that I should stick with the stock 21C orbit grey rims?

Yes, the brake dust is that bad!

But chrome the wheels if you want.
Brake dust sucks no matter what, and it will still be bad with non M sport brakes.
Enjoy your wheels and worry about cleaning them later.

Do they clear coat the chrome wheels too?
If so put some paint sealant on them or take it one step further and opticoat them.
Then buy some Sonax, a speed master wheel brush and cleaning them will be easier.

But again, dont let the brake dust influence your decision - it will definitely suck regardless.

Why are you going to chrome your wheels?

Hi FC4, just personal preference - I just like the look of chrome rims, because when they are clean they are sharp. Which is why I don't really care too much for the stock rims, because they look dirty, all the time. And, when I trash I chrome rim, I get to pay nearly twice as much for a new rim :-).

The stock M Sport brake pads will make any wheels look bad (except maybe matte black?). Get the Porterfield pads.
