Hi,

New member Introduction: Living in Burlington MA, 27 years old, recently got married, recently moved to US from India. Used to ride motorcycle and drive Hyundai in India. Know more about motorcycles than cars. Calm driver. I know difference between inline and V6 in theory but when I open hood of my car, all is know is where to put water for windshield water tank

Need advice on:
I do not know a lot about cars and I am not a handy man for sure. I am shopping for my second car, first being 2016 Honda CRV EX.
Initially I was looking for a economy used car like honda/hyundai and then sell them in few years to buy something nice. While doing that, I moved to Acura/Infiniti and now I have been looking at this 2013 BMW 328i coupe (6 cylinder one). It still has 1 year of factory warranty and then I will be on my own.
Dealer presented me with extended warranty options with 3rd party warranty providers as well. I want to know what kind of maintenance cost I will be looking at after the factory warranty wears of.
If someone who has used similar car before can give me some kind of ballpark, It would really help in making the decision.

Mileage: 29K miles
Engine: 3.0L I6
Transmission: Automatic 6-Speed
Trim/Package: 328i xDrive AWD 2dr Coupe
Dealer price: 27K

I test drove the car and it felt great, but I do not have enough experience to know if something was wrong. Let me know if you need more information to advice me.

Any help in this regard would be very much appreciated. Just want to know general maintenance and repair cost from people who are already using these cars and if buying extended warranty would help.

I think the car you are looking at is an E92. This is an F30 forum, so you would be better served in the E90/92 forum. Good luck.
