Golf bags in GT?

I have about a year left on my F30 lease and I'm looking at my options for next year. I recently picked up golf and am a little frustrated with trunk space, fitting more than 1 golf bag is basically impossible without removing driver/wood.

I was wondering if anyone here plays golf and what your experience with golf bags in the GT trunk is like. Can you fit more than 2 bags comfortably? Also it would be great if anyone could post pictures.

Thanks!

I usually carry only one bag, it fits across behind the wheel wells no problem. More than that and you have to drop one of the rear seats, because in front of the wheel wells a bag is too long to fit across the cargo space. You can fit three people with bags no problem. Four maybe if they're very good friends.

Thanks. So you don't need to put the bag in diagonally? Even without removing the driver/woods?

I'm also considering X4, which I'm guessing will be similar to the GT. Has to be better than the F30.

Nope. I made sure of that before I bought it, otherwise it would have been a deal breaker. In season I play at least 5 rounds a week.

X4 has less room inside than the GT, because the wheelbase is 5 inches shorter. I'd rather a 4GC than an X4.

Awesome. I wish I could play that often, a round a week is the best I could get away with. Of course golf season here in TX is pretty much year round.

Hadn't thought of the the 4GC. It does seem wider behind the wheel well than my car. I'll have to make a trip to the dealer to confirm.

Thanks!

Depending on the bag I can actually get a bag in the f30 diagonally. I've fit two bags in the m235i but removed the driver and 3 and laid them on top. I don't think it'll be a problem.

I drove the GC it's really, really nice. Driving a GT this weekend for dad (trouble getting in and out of the GC) so will report back with a comparative review. GC is on the very short list of options to replace my M235.

Thirty years ago I'd have gone for the GC, but with age and infirmities priorities change.

If you're ever looking for another option drove the GLC with dad last night. Little under powered but there is a 43 AMG version coming in the fall. Should be really really nice. Anyway the one we drove was VERY easy to get in and out of at least for me. Dad had some hip and knee issues and he's on the short side, but if you've just got back stuff do deal with and are taller than 5'8" the GLC was great, you can just sit down with your back, neck and head completely stationary and swing your legs in.

I'm not into the ride height or bulky look of SUVs. The GT is two inches higher than the Altima I had before it and it suits me just fine.

There also a coupe version coming out, basically the same as the X4M40 kind of idea. Sounds like the GT is what you need though.

Ever seen Jurassic World? It featured a GLE Coupe prototype. It looks like an X4 or X6 knockoff. Not my cup of tea, too bulky, too high.

Yea, that's how it is with my bag right now. I actually bought a separate bag for the driver/wood in case I needed to get it horizontal.

Looking up the cargo capacity of the F22, seems it's a little larger than F30.
F22 : 13.8 cubic feet
F30 : 13.0 cubic feet

Crazy, I wouldn't mind getting into a M235i (will there be a M240i?) but I need to seat 5 sometimes which wouldn't work.

There will be a M240i, I think as soon as next model year. I guess the numbers won't lie but it certainly doesn't FEEL like the F22 has the bigger trunk! Might be because the F22 has struts to open the trunk versus large hinges the F30 has.

The trunk in the FGT is pretty useless.
