The left microphone should be active anyway and should work.

Maybe something is wrong with the canbus filter? Because there is the connection for microfone and aux.

The GPS is positioned between the hvac ducts under the Monitor. Is it bad?

I am not sure if there are differences between can filter for CIC and NBT, or if you really can use it for both.

But normaly the cables for Aux and Microphone will only be forwarded

MIC1 are on pins 17(+ve) and 22 (-ve) and MIC2 is on Pins 18(+ve) and 19(-ve). I have the combox so I just ran new wires from the emulator to those pins. I've only done MIC1 but it is working. Will prob do MIC2 tonight.

I never bothered with AUX, just run my iPhone/USB stick via the USB.

I'm kicking myself for paying for EBT.....made the retrofit that bit harder and the really kick in the teeth is you can code it for free on the NBT

Did a spin on the motorway, still the old position from the previous car.

The gps is between the hvac ducts under the monitor. Is that a bad position?

The mic still doesnt work. Hmm, I have no clue anymore. Can a firmaware upgrade remove the issues?

Try if the microphone works without the can filter.

And you could try to put GPS Antenna to another position. Maybe the GPS Antenna is not ok.

With Combox in the trunk, the alternative for retrofit could be the CIC. Should be easier

GPS antenna is now beside the Monitor, visible on the dashboard and still no signal after a spin. Microphone works without emulator. So it seems they connected the pins wrong.

, maybe I try to reroute the pins from the emulator. It seems I am not lucky, GPS Antenna bad and also the emulator is not perfect.

At least you found out why microphone does not work.

What GPS Antenna did you buy?

True! I think I found the problem after intensive checking of the emulator. The plastic with the PINS pops easily out when pluging in.

Im gonna try to hold it while pluging in.

My gps antenna is from ebay, brand jinchanggps.com. 1575,42 Mhz. The cable is pretty long, maybe the tension (Volt) is getting too weak because of the lengh. Not sure. Which do u have?

Hey yes of course I don't have the combox. Only hu entry.

Anyway it works!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy, the issue was the pins popped out on the emulator, what I mentioned before. I manually pushed the pins in and now everything works microphone and navigation also.

Only thing I need is a new USB connector. I don't know how to cut it manually and to rotate it.

Lucky guy; I do also have HU-entry, but with combox... So retrofitting NBT would be much more difficult...

On the usb connector (part that goes into the armrest usb), it only goes in one way because there are plastic guides, trim the plastic so can insert, turned 180 degrees.

It's actually pretty straight forward, you will need to:

1. Buy the addtional USB cable, bluetooth antenna and rewire the MICS.
2. Disconnect the combox and terminate the MOST loop.
3. Move the MOST cable over from the original quadlok to the emulator quadlok.

Then just install the NBT like normal; @Terabyte mentioned earlier about moving to the CIC if you have the combox but for the little extra effort, I'd rather have the NBT.

Just back it out when you need it to be serviced, your replacing cables so the original ones are left intact.

And when I remove this plastic piece which holds the connections, the connection is still strong to hold or do I have to use a tape?
