N47/57 Diesel Engines - Gas stations to avoid in Canada?

For those people out there (in Canada) with diesel bimmers....

Do you avoid any specific gas stations when filling up?

I know there have been issues with people filling up with diesel in the US and the percentage of biodiesel in the fuel... but am curious if people have had any issues north of the border.

I recently had a hpfp go on my 2017 328d causing a whole slew of issues. Even though bad fuel isn't the culprit.... it has me thinking the "just in case" scenarios.

I am also new to the diesel market. Is the gold diesel a marketing tool from Shell? I thought that all diesels are the same.

The key thing for diesel is to buy from a station that has high volume where the tanks get filled often. Shell gold just has more detergents for better cleaning,

I've been filling up at Ultramars, Mobil (formerly No Frills), and Husky around my place and have had no issues with their Diesel.

Recently heard on the news about a diesel shortage? I haven't seen any changes in the price yet.. but hopefully won't be bad.

This explains why there was a 7 cent increase in Ottawa the last week or so. It's consistently 5-8 cents more than regular now. It was on par for a while... Which still sucked. Almost like "winter diesel" prices!
