My contract from CNA has a section in it that describes how to transfer the tire/wheel warranty on to a new owner of your existing car/wheels/tires. Call 1-800-345-0191 and ask for a Transfer Request Form. Need form filled out and some other info plus $50 fee. Has be done within 15 days of sale of the car.

Thanks for the response.

Apparently my insurance was through Safe-guard. I contacted them and they were very helpful.

They helped me look up the existing policy using the VIN number, emailed me a copy and gave me all the instructions I needed. They were extremely helpful.

Basically the new owner sends Safe-guard:

1. Copy of the old policy

2. Bill of sale, reflecting change in ownership

3. Copy of the car title with new owners name on it, reflecting his ownership

4. $40 application fee

Application must be received within 30 days of transfer of ownership.

Hope this helps someone.

Good advice here.

I will post what documents they require for transferring wheel and tire for a leased vehicle.
  1. Complete the lease transfer through BMWFS
  2. Initiate the transfer process within 30 days of completing the lease transfer.
  3. Submit a copy of your wheel and tire contract, $40 check, new lease contract, new registration of the assuming party
