True, but come to think of it, none of my previous cars had it, and I didn't know such feature existed..
Seeing as though I've never velvet parked in my life, it really doesn't bother me.

Though I'd imagine this feature would be included in all bmws in Korea, Hong Kong etc, where basically everything is valeted including places like shopping centers and restaurants.

I have the valet lock on my car and I can tell you it's easy to circumvent as most cars I believe have the pass through that can't be locked. You can simply reach in and pull the lever to lower the rear seats and even pull the emergency trunk release to open the trunk with the valet lock engaged and the glove compartment locked, so retrofitting is of no use unless you can fabricate a lock for the center pass through that works with the metal key in the fob that locks the glove box.

this is true. I remember my 2004 acura TL had a lock on the pass through. I guess BMW didn't care about having "trunk security" for their customers. lol
