No - when you actually try and code something (FA coding) ESys needs a token. The latest version has an in-built token generator.

It is different. There has been a free map token generator for a long time.

Very useful thread however I am having difficulties!

I have an F31 (build March 2015) with business nav. I already have the Bluetooth streaming etc but I really want to get the 2 phones connected for my work and personal phone. Following the guide I have changed 6NH to 6NS which goes on fine (checked by reading back from the car). I then coded HU_entrynav and left the car for a while and tried the Bluetooth but I don't seem to have the facility to have 2 phones connected together.

I do not have a CMB_Media listed, threads on this subject seem to indicate I won't as it's in the HU these days???

Any advice for me, what am I missing, no doubt something obvious that is already posted in the thread

Thanks

Have you gone into the list of paired BT devices, then scroll to your phone, click to right, configure device? It will give option in there of "additional phone" or maybe phone 1 & 2 as its newer.

Do you mean for F30post notifications, or for text messages etc.?

Hi

Yes and I don't get an additional phone option. Each phone I go into has phone 1 with a tick and audio with a tick, doesn't seem to be a way to specify a phone 2? Pretty sure it didn't say phone 1 before so seems to be part way there.

I may be something to do with the newer hardware in your car. Is there a combox under the boot floor? If not maybe it is inside the entrynav as it is in the pro nav, or maybe business nav just doesn't have the combox anymore!

Is there definitely nothing in the list that say CMB or combox or anything similar?

Not that I have seen, I'm not near the car at the moment so cant check the boot but will have a look later. There is something I spotted in the fdl lists when I was scrolling through earlier about 2 telephones, I ignored it because I was assuming the NS would work! I'll see if I can find that again.

Thanks for the assistance.

You don't need to change any FDL settings, that's what coding the module does, it reads the VO and changes the FDL settings to what they should be.

The combox looks like this under the boot floor just behind the back seats:

I don't see a combox but think that the functionality is in the HU_EntryNav as I now have this working. I required a lot of fiddling around to get it to work! I am planning to try and recode the VO from 6NH to 6NS after a reset to 6NH to see if I can pin down the exact requirements.

I looked at what FDL coding was actually achieved by coding 6NS versus 6NH using the token master tool that Shawn sent me a link for and then looked at what has actually been changed on my car by coding the 6NS. There were some suspicious entries which did not seem to have changed and looked important so I FDL coded them. i believe the ones that got it to work were

HU_ENTRYNAV 3003 TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE TWO_PHONES_PARALLEL aktiv

HU_ENTRYNAV TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE BLUETOOTH_2ND_HFP aktiv

although I coded a few others as well!

I had no phones paired when I did this and then afterwards I was able to pair phones and go into configure bluetooth and add tick the telephone 2 option and then change one of the phones to be phone 2. I am not 100% convinced everything that is required has been done as I don't appear to be able to stream audio when 2 phones are connected, this will require some checks when at home later. I don't understand why coding the 6NS to HU_ENTRYNAV did not change the FDL options, I may have done something daft

I'll edit this once I have had a chance to check it out and get the exact steps I used. I would be interested to hear if anyone with a business nav 2015 model has managed to do this just with the VO code?

This is interesting that the bus nav now has the co box built in like NBT. I'll update the op to add this info!
