I need some recommendations chaps.

I listen to rock / heavy metal.

I listen very loud (I use an old Samsung MP3 player as its volum isnt restricted like all modern devices).

They need to be suitable for gym use (fit) and noise cancelling (to block out the noise of stupid people).

Recommendations please.
Just look around and see what everyone else is wearing in your Legs Bums and Tums class and buy what they've got

Do you run Nick and need around the ear jobbies? I used to spend about 5minuyes of any run adjusting headphones.

Git some new JVC ones from Tesco and they've been excellent. No need to spunk a large wad on gym type audio headphones I'd say as the quality is never going to be great without a large set.

So - putting to one side the fact you listen to metal at unacceptably high volumes in a Brighton gym (to drown out the voices in your tiny binary brain telling you to a) stop being attracted to men and b) buy a diesel presumably) you have a few options.

If you care about sound quality then something like Universal Ears or Westone or but appreciate you might not be in that camp. Or indeed any camp. As a row of tents. Etc. etc. etc. etc.

Further down the chain have a look at AKG and Grado - actually the iGrado are really good. Shure of course a good bet if you like that sort of thing - always found them a little bit lacking in mids.

Good article here with a few options as you are clearly too lazy/fat fingered to use google:

I have some AKG K451 on ear folding headphones, great for travel use and they fit into a small included case. Absolute steal at £38 considering they were originally £130!

£30 if you can find them @ Richer Sounds

I don't like in-ear at all, but my brothers Sennheiser IE800's sound pretty damn amazing. Probably a bit excessive for the gym, but if budget allows...

Not listened to any but their 'SPORTS' range are a bit more reasonable and designed to be resistant to the copious amount of bodily fluids all over your face after your gym sessions...

I use Bose SIE2 headphones for my running, they are supposedly sweat and weather proof. They're very good and got me through the London Marathon and all the training. They did fail after 12 months but Bose replaced them no questions asked.
