The best and worst points of your F30

How about a quick reply thread. Now a few of us have had our f30s for a little while. What is the best and worst feature of your new ride.

Mine is,

BEST: The car's performance and acceleration in sports mode

WORST: The engine sound at idle, particularly when cold

Pro: all facets of the driving experience.

Con: the total lack of intuitiveness of the iDrive system.

I didn't get NAV so I have the basic iDrive system, and I have the HK system.
ON the test cars with NAV, I found the system quite easy to use.
It's not bad at all, actually quite intuitive.

The manual is always your best reference.
I'm a manual reader. Most people never bother reading their manuals, and it amazes me how many threads we have because of it.
More time spent creating a thread and waiting for response than to just
RTFM!

I also find current gen nav system pretty intuitive.
I can't wait to try out the new generation nav system!

THE GOOD:
Sport Automatic Transmission.
Steering wheel.
Sports Seats.
Angel Eyes (when unlocked ).
Adaptive Xenon's.
Harman Kardon 7.1.
Fine line Anthracite Wood.
Luxury Line chrome.
Strong engine, no lag.
The brakes - oh wow they stop!
The lesser price of petrol to diesel!!

THE NOT SO GOOD:
I much prefer the engine sound of my late 330d.
ASS isn't refined enough on start-up.
Soot on the exhaust finishers from the direct-injection.
Idle sound at the front from the direct-injection.
Lack of LED's in the lights - loved my E90 LCI's bright and sharp rear indicators.
The economy - 36-40mpg as opposed to 43-47mpg in the straight six 'd.
The not so good however isn't enough to even make a poor argument for this car in my mind, it's just so good and I always look forward to driving it!

With an intuitive system, say like an iPod, the deeper you go into a particular function, the more you can control it.

With iDrive, you have to come out of a function to control it. Once I understood that concept, it wasn't so hard to figure out.

Still, it's the opposite of how most other systems work.

Best: Pretty much everything. Love the engine. Love the sport seats. Standard HIFI stereo ROCKS. The stretched body panels that make it look OH SO SEXY.

Worst: The car holds water like CRAZY. I wash and fully dry my car and I still have water coming out of mirrors, trunk, doors, back reflectors etc. for a day or two after haha

In my Audi, the scroll wheels does the opposite of what I expect. In lists of music, clockwise is up and counterclockwise is down; in navigation, clockwise is zoom out and counterclockwise is zoom in. I believe that the mistake was that Audi chose to display the scroll bar on the left of lists instead of on the right.
