Got my corroded exhaust tips replaced today under warranty. They're covered in dirt already.

What's the best way to protect them? I've used wax before but it didn't seem to work very well. Is there anything better/specifically designed to protect the tips?

Vaseline protects my tips perfectly, in all conditions. Try it you know you want to.

He is asking about exhaust tips not his knob mate

I clean mine after every wash and never had any problem , just with dry cloth and use chrome cleaner sometime .

Yea mate as shiny as exhaust tips
