Pic of BMW Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler

Hi all! I am looking to move up from a long lineage of 3-series cars into the new 440 xDrive.

In configuring the new car, I was wondering if anyone has pics of the official BMW carbon fiber rear spoiler, especially on glacier silver metallic.

I'm attaching a pic from the new online "Build Your Own" tool which I believe was just released today (and not sure I love the new look and feel of the website), but of course these pictures don't do it justice. I believe the spoiler has been available for MY17 and before so I was hoping there were some real-world pics. Thanks in advance!

Sir, your car is simply gorgeous--love those wheels!

CTBMW355;
Although I have a Silver 4GC (and since my pic isn't nearly as nice as the1isntugly's);; just wanted to give you a close-up.
I think the pattern in the CF spoiler blends nice with Silver:

The CF spoiler sits on top of the trunk awkwardly. I prefer the look of the m performance spoiler:

I think the M spoiler is much lower profile. There are a few 4 coupes near me that have it. It looks really nice. They don't have that style spoiler for the GC; Rich's version and the M4 style is all I've seen. Rich, is that the RW Carbon version?

+1. I'm shopping for a rear spoiler as well and wondering if that is a RW Carbon spoiler?

Correct, there is no lip spoiler for the GC. Maybe that will change this year with the LCI.
But no,...mine is the Genuine BMW CF spoiler which is more expensive....about $100 more than RW Carbon's.

However, my understanding is that the newer RW Carbon "Perf. Style" CF spoilers are exactly the same as the the ones by BMW.
Check the pics on RW's website... I can't see a difference.

Thanks everyone for posting pics. More of both styles would of course be appreciated!

Are the spoilers drilled in, or do they attach with a double-sided stick tape or other adhesive? Are they easy to remove if I don't like the look and want to go back to the bare trunk?

you have to take a metal grinder to the trunk and trim out the shape of the spoiler.

has to be exact or it will look funny.

then you have to weld the new carbon fiber spoiler in.

if the carbon fiber melts during the welding then you can sand it down and shape it back to it's original structure.

...

or forget all that and just use the 3M tape it comes with.

Mine's stuck on there permanently.
I used the 3M tape together with this:

My biggest 'fear' is that some moron will use dental floss and steal the damn thing leaving me with an adhesive scar etc on my flawless decklid. I guess you can't live in fear, right? lol. Can always reinstall another I suppose........
