(F30) Official ESTORIL BLUE II F30 Photo Thread

Hey Guys. I'm finally posting some pics of new F30. It's been a long time process. I've been lurking here for what seems a half a year. Thanks for everyone who have answered my questions. Without this forum, I would not be this happy with my car and I would not had the knowledge to make informed decisions.

I ordered for ED delivery first week in November and look delivery Dec 5th. That was a nice day at The Welt. I'll post ED pictures later. The thing finally made it Port Hueneme, CA on 01/05. It wasn't until Jan 29th that I . . . finally . . . got my hands on it at the dealership.

These two pics were taken on the Sunday before customer delivery.

The next Saturday Mod Bargains slapped on my new M5 reps.

She's home. This is how I envisioned my car.

The next Friday afternoon, I bought all that Zaino stuff. You people that use it, know what I'm talking. I won't get into it, but I spend 7 hours Saturday applying 3 thin coats of Z-5 and 1 coat of Z-2. This BMW shit is hard work. But, the result are fantastic. A few late afternoon pics. My back is killing at this point!

Pic to see the rear tire fitment.

I know it's handicapped parking. It was valet'd and he put there. I'm on a little drive up the California coast.

Right about here my passenger thinks I'm a complete d-bag because I keep taking pictures of my BMW. I think I'm embarrassing her. I subsequently blame the F30Post.com forum. I owe it some pics because I've leeched info for so long.

Finally, a few last pics in the setting sun up in the mountains above Santa Barbara. Enjoy!

I like the car, I like the photos.

I am trying to decide on the side lips or not. I'm definitely going for the rear diffuser and need to decide on colour. I have considered the way yours is painted. This is the first I have seen in this way and it looks really good. I was considering the same colour code or all black gloss.

Is the middle section of the diffuser the factory matt black or black gloss?

Could I trouble to you post a few more photos of the rear diffuser and side lips please.

Hi, sure no problem. The rear diffuser comes matt black unpainted. I painted it in body colour on the sides and the centre area matt black -- which seems to be the way BMW paint it in most press photos. Pictures attached which I hope show some of the detail.

Thank you. Great, looks superb. Your photos are making me go the same way with the diffuser.

Re the side lips I was concerned they would just look like bits added on as opposed to flowing with the car. The same body colour appears to blend in with the car. Can I ask do they cause dirt to collect and hold in between the body work?

The lips are fine and don't seem to accumulate much dust or dirt. They really improve the sides of the car imo - subtle but they do increase the vertical height of the side and doors and look great. I wasn't sure if I wanted the vinyl M Performance bits, but really like them now.

The car gets a lot of comments!

Im not surprised at you getting comments I am going with the 18" wheels on my F31 mainly for the ride comfort and I don' t think the front spoiler would look as well on a car with 18".

I don't intend to go for the side decals, don't think they are me.

I am definite on the diffuser in your colour scheme. Your photos won it for me thanks. The side lips am not just sure about, I would like to see these in real life if you know what I mean so I will be pondering for a bit yet.

Are those 19" wheels/tires only available on the 335i? I dont see them as an option on the 328i.

Interesting, on the 328i M-Sport, the rear diffuser comes from the factory in gloss grey. Also, I have the decals on the M-Sport rockers but I can't tell nor can I find a part number for side blades...

I forgot the exact price for the 19" rims. They were around $850.

The Michelin PSS were $1271 out the door, delivered.
