Has anyone powder coated their BMW wheels?

I have three diamond cut 403m wheels with kerb damage and was looking at refurb options/costs as I understand you cannot do localised repairs on DC.

Really keen on powder coating in ferric grey or charcoal grey colour instead of keeping the DC finish.

Has anyone powder coated theirs, if so what colour and are you happy with them?

A local reputable alloy specialist who do all the repairs for Bedford BMW are quoting £85+ VAT for DC and £65+ VAT for powder coating.

Any pictures of your powder coated wheels would be appreciated , thank you.

Had mine powder coated by BW powder coating near Mablethorpe, £40 per wheel for matte black. They are the winter wheels I bought off a member on here.

I had my 403s powder coated in Ferric Grey a few weeks ago. They'd already been re-cut once last year (tyre fitter damage to 3 of them) and whoever diamond cut them took off too much material for them to be done again. I was well compensated by BlackCircles so I can't really complain.

If/when I need to powder coat them again I'd seriously consider going for a lighter shade. Losing the reflection of the cut spokes makes the wheels look smaller. I've become used to the overall look now, but my first reaction was that they didn't look right.

Powder coating was done by The Wheel Specialist - the finish is excellent.

Not right now, and the wheels are pretty dusty so an iPhone photo isn't going to do them justice.

The thread and photos which Teaston posted, especially with the wheels fitted to the car, are a pretty good likeness to mine.

These 403m are in Anthracite, again from The Wheel Specialist, at Nottingham. had them a nearly a year and no flaking/colour changes yet.
Alloys a little wet, just been cleaned so a little damp residue still on.
