iphone 5 Connectivity issues ...

Just got my car last night ..... sooooo stoked!

But some of that happiness seems to be leading to frustration as I'm having challenges w/ my new iPhone.

First thing I've noticed is that my BMW Connected App can't connect to my phone via the Thunderbolt cable. I have BMW Apps and fear I just paid $350 for nothing. Thoughts?

Second, I can't seem to be able to stream audio via Bluetooth Audio (yes, I have Enhanced Bluetooth Option). My iPhone 5 pairs and have no challenges with the phone compatability... just seems that when I go to BlueTooth Audio, I see my phone paired, but can't get the audio to work. Thoughts?

When you go into your bluetooth connections do you see a phonebook and music note highlighted in white next to your mobile device?

Nevermind guys ... I deleted the bluetooth connection and started over.

First connected my car via Thunderbolt calble. Open BMW Apps ... this time it connected. Check.

Then I re-paired my iphone 5 via bluetooth. This time Bluetooth audio worked.

I previously paired my phone first and then tried to connect via hard wire. Seems as though you have to connect via hardwire first, then pair bluetooth to work correctly.

You can also configure your bluetooth by hitting option in your bluetooth connections menu, select configure bluetooth, and checking the box next to audio. (for people who don't have BMW Apps)

Be aware, every time you connect via cable it will disable Bluetooth Audio streaming from your phone. You have to go into settings and re-enable it every time after you have connected via cable.

Just noticed that. Where do I have to go to re-enable the audio streaming?

Can't remember exactly, but I think you go to the phone settings, highlight your phone with the i-Drive wheel, then hit Option button.

tried that. Still no bluetooth audio. Think I need to disable and re-pair again. Sooo annoying.
