Why anyone would buy these parts is beyond me since the 435i M Performance Edition is coming in a few months to Canada (production starts July). We pay all that money for individual parts when you can get the package for way cheaper?

Then there's the fact the 3 series and 4 series will be getting the new more powerful engine within the next year. They will be putting out 335-340 hp plus 320-330 pd. ft of torque. Don't know how BMW expects to sucker people in to getting the PPK when we all know the base 340i and 440i will produce the same hp.

Just my two cents.

Please don't spout off baseless speculation and dreams trying to pass it off as fact.

Agreed...the wheels are garbage and priced similarly to proper racing wheels. The stickers are also laughable. The exterior pieces, though (front lip, spoiler, diffuser) are very tasteful and make the car look even better.

Whats the difference in the read end carrier between the auto and stick. And I thought the 28i had the same rear as well, just shorter gearing? What am I missing here?

For one because you can get this with x-drive but M still insists on making RWD only cars.

Because maybe you already bought the 435?

Mark my words pal, you will see the 435i M Performance Edition information being released in the next few weeks at most. You need to educate yourself friend.

Cool. But I wasn't disputing anything about a "435i M Performance Edition."

I can only see why one would load up these options: not having had the patience to wait for M4 over 435i !!!!

And how is that a bad thing again?

Or wanting the 435 *xd* versions

Base model:
M4 - 106'210.00 CHF for the dual-clutch automatic
435xd - 74'550.00 CHF for the sports automatic

That's around $35k more expensive...

Judging by this list alone I would only buy
- Rear spoiler carbon fiber (625$)
- Carbon fiber interior trim (1000$)
- Cover selector lever in carbon fiber (200$)
- Carbon Center Console Cover (175$)
- Carbon Fiber and Alcantara E-Brake Handle (180$)
- M Performance Exhaust system, if it can be fitted to the 435d (1200$)
- possibly a PPK (if they ever get that for the 335d/435d)
- I wouldn't get the brakes because from what I understand mine (MSport brakes) have the same stopping distance, but a bit more prone to fade on a track than the MPerformance ones...

This comes to about 3380$ + the PPK if they ever release it.
That's less than 10% of the price that I would pay for an upgrade for the M4.

I use my car as a DD and I find it amazing...I get an awesome mileage and have plenty of acceleration when needed.
Not to mention that the depreciation, at least here, is a lot worse for an M car...

Shame you don't get the .35d in the US though.

Anyway, might be a very silly and uninformed question... can the LSD be fitted on an x-drive car?
Judging by the "This limited slip differential fits all automatic 335i and 435i models" - NO, but I was wondering if you ever heard of it fitted on the xdrive system...

These parts have been available for awhile now. Why is this just being released?

Are the splitters and lower lip sold as a package or are they one piece?? I'd be interested in just the lip (sorry don't know the official name). Having both looks to busy.

No to the wheels and stickers.

that has always been the case from e36 generation.
a fully loaded 328is was almost within reach of m3 back then.

I think the rational was that the m3 is catered towards a different group.

My 335i stickered for the same as the starting price of an M3 (virtually every option but the driver assistance plus package and with MPPK and MPE, sticker was $62k). The place where this logic falls apart is when you spec an M3 with similar bells and whistles as the loaded 335i...suddenly it's $10k more.

Couple this with the increase in insurance premiums (and in the state of VA's case, increased annual property taxes), the extra expenses add up.

Plus it's fair to assume that, as of now, dealers won't budge much from sticker on the M3 and M4 since they're fresh on dealer lots.

Don't get me wrong, the thought crossed my mind too but in the end I went with the 335i M-Sport. That said, no one in their right mind is going to go in and buy up every M Performance catalog item as the price would be stupid silly. It's solely meant as an ala carte thing. That said, anyone who spends $4200 on those wheels or that much for an LSD has more money than brains.
