Hi, I currently have a fault entrynav2 no wifi in my 2019 F30 and want to swap it with Entrynav2 with wifi, ive read so many threads but when you thought you found the answer it always ends up with"PM sent" or some hijackingwith irrelevant post, my question is what are the steps I need to take, I have the replacement Entrynav2 and an emulator, ive not installed yet.forgot to add the multimedia options of the replacement is exactly the same as mine, I know I can probably use it with the emulator but I want it to be fitted without it, any help will be appreciated .Thanks in advance

For swapping the headunit it will most likely have component protection. You will need to patch the heaunit and install non-oem FSC and remove the component protection. This will require someone to do it for you. The emulator can work if you have the correct VIN from donor and use it.

I got it working using an emulator from Ebay topdonas1 but would like to connect it directly , I tried tool32 dev_uds prg but I get the following argument error. any idea. cp is not activated, all set shows accepted in e-sys using emulator and donor vin still present, I need to clear the fsc, I have a repair pack if that is what it called, I can write my can vin to head unit which ive tried, the nav stopped working as expected sot I put the original back and it is ok, thanks in advance for any help

Repair kit wont work, you will be missing CP fsc. You either use emulator or patch the headunit to be able to get FSC with your vin

Thanks for your reply, is there a software for patching Entryna2 , sorry if it sounds like silly question but where can I get it. If anyone can give guidance i will appreciate it, can i not use feature installer

The software is hu engineering tool which uses feature installer to patch units remotely. I can generate the codes you need to use with feature installer.

I still want to know the correct arguments and data for _dev_uds.peg , but be tried various ways but getting error _arg_ok or error _data
please tell me what it m doing wrong, I will like to know out of curiosity
Or is there another .prg file I can use to delete fsc from entrynav2

All done and working, thanks to @Shawnsheridan on another forum for pointing me in the right direction
i now have CarPlay enabled but it is only half screen n , i believe i will need the entrynav2 flashed to enabled fuọọ screen, second thing is tp change car graphics to F30 and enable front parking sensor display

I actually like carplay half screen so I can have media or drive info on the right hand side of the screen.

I prefer the full screen, the way see it is that I retrofitted 8.8 screen to have a larger display and half screen CarPlay doesn't look right to me

I've got the full screen CarPlay working now but it was scary flashing the head unit to version U, I like the challenge. Im happy with it
