Old one sounds powerful and assertive. New one is flimsy. Why did they change?

just saw the spot in germany during the F1 Race with the old sound in it.

Wow, I always thought just the BMW car alone did this, with rear-wheel drive, a manual transmission, fine naturally aspriated in-line 6 engine, and great handling and braking... How about trying that (again).

A fancy sound signature at the end of a commercial is supposed to entice me to by a BMW? Not.
