NO ZGW available.
will not pull my vin. I was connected and coded fine yesterday and chose disconnect last night.
now I try to connect and no ZGW and no VIn shows.. tried restarting car and laptop..
I have the DIST folder in all directories.

Might sound dumb but is there a link and connectivity light on the ethernet cable? I was an idiot and it turned out that the plastic slacks on the RJ45 cable were bent and weren't providing a proper connection to the NIC on my laptop.

Just lock the car and wait until it sleeps. Then try again.

Yep i have link light and the Nic searches for ip like normal. I will try again shortly.

Can I just double check something regarding backups before I do anything major?

Making a Back Up
It's quite easy to make a backup of the CAF files from your car. Basically, as soon as you start reading the CAF files from your car, the E-Sys program automatically stores the files into "C:\ESysData\CAF". All you basically need to do is to copy these files and store them somewhere safe. The best is to make a new copy (and keep the old!) every time you want to code, this way you always have a copy of the last working version (just in case you break something lol).

I've just coded the ASS to remember last setting and I assume the NCD file now sitting in C:\ESysData\CAF is my stock profile or at the very least my stock profile + the ASS changes.

Value is in 100ms (0.1 sec). Default value is 0x0F = 15 * 100ms = 1.5 seconds.

If you set it to 0, the mirrors will fold every time you lock the car. Some people want this, but I don't.

I have mine set to 3 (300ms). I keep it pressed (fob or CA) another heartbeat and they fold.

When you save your changes in the FDL editor, you are rewriting the .ncd file in C:\ESysData\CAF. Unless you copied the originals to a backup location before doing any coding, then you don't have an original backup.

But, since you can easily VO code an ECU back to the factory defaults, I've stopped worrying about having backup copies of the original .ncd files. I think it's actually easier and safer to VO code to defaults than trying to restore from a backup .ncd file.

Does anyone knows which PSdZData should I select. When opening the link for download, it shows several options. From part 1 to part 19. I cant make E-Sys work because I believe I am selecting the wrong File.

i think you mean the .rar files, you need to download WniRAR and extract the file.

You need to extract the files into exactly the right spot. Check the installation instructions in post #1.

From a locked turned off car state,

When on Setting #3 (Auto Headlamp control), and I unlock my car the "Angel Eyes" or "Corona Rings" illuminate & stay on and the turn signal indicators flash.

When on Setting #4 (Lamps Off/DRL) and I unlock my car the "Angel Eyes" or "Corona Rings" do not illuminate & stay on, but only the turn signal indicators flash.

I was laying low, as frankly I don't know the answer.

I think though this is a function of the Welcome Lights. In F10, I would look at WL_FUNKTION_POL and see what my options are, and other "WL" settings.

Inherently, what you are asking represents a conflict. By putting the switch in Position 4, you are disabling DRL, yet wanting DRL's as welcome lights, so this may be a lost cause.
