F30 Diesel. Code out Adblue?

Have any diesel owners looked into coding out the Adblue sensors/is that a tuner type arrangement? Or is this something we want for car longevity? From what I can tell it is just for emissions and not fuel efficiency etc.

It's solely for emissions, but I think this would require a full remap (tune) to remove it from the car.
