330d mpg

I've just spent 12 days in Cornwall, and covered about 1100milea in that time.
Bearing in mind the 300odd mile motorway journey I was expecting to see a bit more than 36mpg for the whole period.
Or am I being unrealistic?

I guess being 4 up and having a boot full of stuff has an impact, and then the stop start nature of the narrow Cornish roads and the crappy M5 perhaps don't help.

I would say that's pretty good

Short roads, start stop, bit of wellie, good if you ask me.

I can and have achieved very best of 51 mpg from mine but generally 37 mpg is an all rounder so 36 on those road is good

That's pretty good for that journey, on your own on an open motorway would be 45-50mpg if sticking to 70mph

Slightly embarrassed to confess in this company that after 13,000 miles the OBC is showing 49.6mpg. Confirms I really do drive like Miss Daisy!

Almost solely motorway driving and my excuse is too much time spent on that long and tedious 50 mph section on the M1 on frequent visits to my family in the midlands!

Depends entirely on driving. In mixed driving it's fine. My lifetime average is 37 after 40k miles.

Set myself a challenge last month to drive from Reading to Durham and back to Reading via Manchester on one tank. Did it with 44 miles to spare. 627 miles, average 52.7 mpg.

My current average is 37mpg from home to work. With the same journey in the M135i I was getting 26mpg.
However on a recent trip to Bath from Manchester. My average was 52mpg.

I just did almost exaxtly the same trip a few weeks ago 4 up and fully loaded and averaged 40mpg. That was at 72mph on the motorway with my son following in a mini with a black box fitted - hence the low speed.

Life time mpg over 51k is 43.3mpg.

If you were doing 75+ on thr motorway i would say its about bang on right.
