Replacement brakes - rear advisory

Hi Folks,
New on this forum and looking for advice.

Bought a 2015 330D Msport Tourer a few years ago, only got 35k on the clock now and the garage has told me that the brakes on rear need replaced.

Question is, how can they justify over 1000 pounds for this. It's an Msport, so I'm assuming it has the M Sport brakes, but how do I check? Notice Eurocarparts have a brilliant sale on just now-50% off, so I'd like to order them up today if possible.

Any sizes or obvious visual hints that would tell me?

Thanks in advance

U can inspect the pads yourself with a torch without taking wheel off
If not competent enough to do yourself get a local reputable garage to check and price for u

Thanks, I know the pads are ok, it's the discs. So still looking for advice, hopefully quickly, on how to tell what sort of system I have. It doesnt have the blue calipers, so I am thinking M technology, rather than M performance.

That would be a first. Run your VIN in an on-line VIN checker to see how your car is equipped.

Cheers, i meant the pads are legal but the disc has corrosion on it, so has been issued as an advisory.

Rotors rust. It's normal, as they're made of cast iron. I've never seen rotors with less than 80,000 miles rusted so badly that they needed to be replaced, and then they were replaced primarily because they had worn to below minimum thickness.
