I finally saw SRB in the flesh today at the dealers!

It is much more green in person, definitely not for me.

I quite like it, but I've not seen one in the flesh. I don't think I'd be brave enough to order it though to be honest.

Well, apart from this and Tanzanite every other F3x colour has looked the same in the flesh as photos.

Would you say the photos here are more representative?

Is it really that green....I saw one on the road and it didn't look that green....but I guess the tone changes with the light?

It looked completely green in the showroom light, as if there's no blue in it at all!

It was definitely greener than this photo as I held the photo up next to it after I took it:

I'm liking the look of that, hopefully I might get to see it at my new dealers.

Some pics make it look much more green than it really is. Also unnatural showroom lights, especially with yellow tint, don't do the colour any favour. In reality and sunlight especially, it looks much more blue and closer to Long Beach.

Attached a pic I recently took, as well as a comparison against Long Beach Blue. The actual colour is somewhere between Atlantis Blue (more green) and Long Beach Blue (less green).

I saw a 440i GC in Snapper Rocks today at a local dealer. It really took my breath away when I came in the door, and my first impression was WOW! But it's a very funny color, that ranges from baby blue to teal depending on the angle and lighting. I took a few pictures to illustrate this:

Ironically, the camera (iPhone 7) seems to capture the color effect opposite of what my eye saw -- when I saw teal, the camera picked up blue, and vice versa. So let's just say it's quite a variable color.

While I found it really breathtaking on first sight, I am not sure I could live with this color every day. That is partly due to it being a very flashy color, but also partially due to the teal highlights in some light. Whenever I see teal I think of the 1990s. Anyhow, I am on the fence but leaning away from Snapper Rocks. Seems like every time I want to buy a new BMW, darned if Alpine White doesn't work its way back to the top of the list.....

Didn't like it in the Marketing pictures but now I have seen that I do like it. Will have to see what one in the flesh looks like!

I saw a 4 series SRB in the wild the other day. It is a great colour, and looks different under natural sunlight than it does inside the showroom, much more depth to it if that makes sense. Not for the types that like anonymity, of course.

So my plan of SRB and an MPPSK will work well together to be discreet.
