F30 2014 Feb BMW 328i Combox recall
get my car in service today, there is a recall of my combox
it's said they will replace with a new one, after search online seems the communication will convert to 3G/LTE instead of current CDMA does anyone know will they convert the combox to NBT or some other models I'm afraid of losing my EBT and USB feature that I liked a lot (enabled thru coding) any one knows what the recall actually will change? thanks -Vincent |

I suspect it's related to this
2G connectivity in the US is going away a lot of the legacy hardware from older cars not work after the cutoff date. This affects every 2G modem, all the way down to the original iPhone. When was your 2014 built, and do you have NBT w/ the touchpad? I always thought the move to NBT also meant a move to 3G modems.

mine is built 2014/02, I don't have NBT but with a CIC combox (telecom) in the trunk.
if this is to move my car to NBT, yes no brainer for me to go this route, but if anyone have TSB will be very helpful |
