Odd damage on driver-side seat
I have a 2012 328i with premium package (leather seats), and the other day I noticed a weird spot on the drive-side seat.
I've attached pictures to this post. It looks like a spot on the seat is raised (so it's sort of pointy) and discolored, as if the color is being rubbed off of the leather. I'm going to call the dealership tomorrow, but any ideas? I'm having some really odd fit-and-finish issues with this car... Thanks! |

The service manager replaced it, but maintained that I must have gotten something on it and that it couldn't possibly be an issue with the seat or leather. I hope you can get yours taken care of...

I have a similar rub off on my seat as well, and I started a thread on it too. I noticed it happing in multiple places now, and none of us in the family abuse the car. I never had leather this poor in any of my vehicles, but this is my first BMW. Oh and mine is a 2013 with just 9k miles on it.

Definitely take it in to the dealership. I really feel like the fit-and-finish of my 2010 Volkswagen CC was better than this BMW in many ways. I remember asking the service manager if I needed to buy special BMW pants to not damage the fragile seats ;-)

I have light scratches from my jeans on my driver seat. And some similar ware as yours. Pretty lame. My e92 leatherettes were bullet proof lol. The. My e92 m3 novillo's (super soft and easily damaged) were better than these
