I'd be curious to hear from people in other regions- to see if they get the same thing or something else. Hopefully you get something. Personally I think it is a nice gesture, I don't care that it's only 2Gb.. Somebody posted about the cool gifts that Audi gives, but I wouldn't want one of their cars, so they can keep the gift!

I got a gift annually for three years after I bought my 2009 BMW 328i.

Year 1

Nice Carbon Fiber BMW pen. Very hefty weight and feel to it. Writes flawlessly. I love it. Still writes like a charm.

Year 2

Nice pencil sketch of the 2009 328i concept that can be framed.

Year 3.

A folio of the history of the 3 series. Pretty neat. Nothing special. I got nothing this year. A USB is nice, but I already have like 5. Don't need anymore.

I was given a box of chocolates and an nice umbrella with BMW logo on its strap when I went to pick up my car from the dealer.

The umbrella is good looking and useful, yet this memory stick can be more of a show off thingy.

lol it's funny to see you got similar gifts for your 3 series as we received with our 2009 X5.. We also had the carbon fiber pen, then we got a sketch of the 2009 X5 concept (kinda forget where I left it) and we also received a folio of the history of the X5

But the resale price really isn't the point. I've never gotten a gift just for buying a car...I don't expect it. If you do, shoot yourself in the foot for humanity.

Well I'll know whether we get anything in Canada by end of June, from the timelines I'm reading here. Irrespective of the cost to produce the gift I think it's a nice gesture. I did get the $50 coupons, which I gather is standard BMW sales doctrine.

I drove away on a full tank when I got the car too.

Given that a regular USB stick 8GB goes for the same price in the stores, that's not exactly cheap lol

But, at the same time, that price is what someone gave it, we have no idea what the actual value would be if it were actually to be sold in the stores.

It would have been perfectly ok not to get anything, but we always received something in the past with BMW so we kinda wondered what we would get this time around

I think that is up to the dealer. My dealer has always turned over my new BMWs with a full tank. I kind of take it for granted, but if you think about it now with gas prices that is a $70 or so gift.

I think everyone gets one except for those who bought a white model. Only kidding. I would presume everyone gets one. I got mine today, abt 6 weeks after purchasing a 335i. It looks nice but I agree the cap falls off and it is awfully low in capacity, that being only 2 gigs. I think I paid about $12 for 8 gigs.

I don't know how anyone else feels but my nose is really out of joint over the BMW Apps deal. They charge about $250 for the option and don't mention that you still have to buy a phone specific adaptor, which costs over $100 if you plan on using it. I feel cheated and duped.

My dealership gave me a cleaning kit and a pair of rubber matts! they keep calling me back every 2 weeks for goodies. I guess privilege of living in the middle east! I even requested them to give me a car cover next time

Too bad, folks whose 328i were built without the standard Bluetooth & USB Music options by mistake won't be able to use this to play music in the car. Can't believe BMW would make a production mistake like that!!!

In Canada you get nothing. The $50 gift card is from the dealership not BMW Canada, also they charge you for the full tank of gas if you look closely at your lease agreement.
