F30 M-Sport Reviews?
Maybe I'm just really tired, but I can't seem to find any reviews of the F30 M-Sport (328i or 335i) – written or videos.
Has anyone seen anything? |

There probably won't be any reviews on the M Sport specifically, since it doesn't offer any performance advantage or additional features compared to a sport line model. No reason for them to review it again really.

Oh – I thought it had different suspension and a few other performance things. Thanks!

In the US, Adaptive M suspension is available as a stand alone option. Not so in Canada, where this feature is only available as a $500 add-on to the M Sport package. So for Canadian F30-335i purchasers, if they want the advantages of staggered summer performance wheels/tires (without going to optional 19" wheels/tires for $1500) and the Adaptive M Suspension, the M Sport is the solution. BMW took a step backwards by deleting the formerly standard E90-335i Sport package set-up of staggered wheels with summer performance tires and substituting non-staggered wheels with all seasons for the F30 Sportline. |

Yeah it does, but it's not that much different than someone reviewing a base 335i then a 335i with sport suspension and adaptive steering. You don't really get reviews for the same car with different option packages, and the M sport package is just an option package.

What puzzles me is...
Where are the F30 xDrive Reviews? This xDrive is supposed to be a new lighter-weight system. That's something worth reviewing. |

Is it shifter the M lighted one? On the BMW website, (Track my BMW), it lists adaptive suspension as part of the M-sport package I ordered.
I had thought it a separate option.

Mine has it too. Though I didn't order it. It also has summer performance tires which I didn't order. I'm guessing the website is just giving you a general idea of what you ordered. My CA assured me that what I ordered with him is correct. Now, if I all of a sudden get summer tires with adaptive suspension and trans, hey, I'm not going to argue because I didn't pay for them. lol

Where did you hear that the F30 Xdrive system was a new lighter system? I have not heard that or read that anywhere....The 335xi and 328xi only started production in July 2012 so dealers should be getting the first batch any day now.

Yet my M-Sport is still fresh air. Hasn't even started to be built yet. GRRRRR.

There was such big excitement about testing the RWD F30s -- you would think that at least one car magazine would be interested in testing the xDrive too. It IS a significantly different car. If BMW's brochures are correct, the new xDrive system weighs significantly less. If you crunch the numbers, an E90 335i xDrive weighs 221 lbs more than the RWD version, while an F30 xDrive 335i weighs just 154 lbs more than the RWD version. |

I think the car mags will take opportunity to do some more testing of the F30, but this time I'll bet BMW will send 335i Msports.
During the F30 intro it was nearly all 328i sport lines. Now, it's time to get more testing of the 335i's and Msport is just the way to do it. Yes, Msport is mainly a cosmetics pkg, but the staggered 18 and 19" wheels/tires should be actual summer performance tires. Hopefully we'll get reviews that can show us if there is any performance difference with the sportier tires. Also, I'm hoping to read more about the sport AT and MT 335i's. I'm sure there will be an S4 vs 335i Msport rematch. |
