I feel like a zombie having read so many pages of posts. I'm still cloudy about the difference between patched and unpatched Tokens. Can someone post a brief Pros and Cons of each?

I think I may have missed something from the cheat sheet. Can someone post how to have the mirrors auto-fold when locking the car using the door handle? Thanks.

Just to update, tried to connect to the F12 again with Esys 3.24.3 with psdzdata 51.3 Lite, manage to FDL code everything.

The only part I'm still confused/not sure is when I tried to VO code 3 ECUs, nothing happen... I tried to activate OMSA, 6AL & 6UH... (works well on all my previous attempts on F30s)... I "code" CAS, CMB_MEDIA & HU_CIC, but none of the FDL line get updated, FDL coding them manually works... what could be wrong?

I checked that FA was written to car succesfully & manage to redownload it and see the option there, just nothing happen to the ECU

I'm out of touched as well, but from limited reading, unpatched tokens would be preferred since the token will work with 'future' eSys version;

While the patched tokens will require new patch file for subsequent version of eSys

Of course qns remains whether or not the unpatched token really could work with future release, but same can be said about patched since it is dependant on the keygenerator to provide new patched files.

I'm personally using patched token (since last year)

I don't think patched token solution has any advantages. Unpatched though modifies no native E-Sys java libraries and is generally not E-Sys version specific so you can update E-Sys in most cases without needing a new token solution.

And you get no errors when VO Coding?

No, you can't just replace file on hard drive. You have to inject the .NCD Data back into ECU. Forget about what you read though. This step is pointless. If you need to reset an ECU, you just need to VO Code it. If car goes to dealer and gets programmed, it will have a new CAFD, and you would not inject .NCD from old CAFD into new replacement CAFD as they are not the same.

Nope. No error or prompt whatsoever. Granted my esys was experimental, I installed 3.24.3, but the patched files were for 3.24.2

Hi, i installed everything and it work fine, reading oke, saving SVT works oke.

The failure becomes when i'm going coding.

When i change something and i want to save it i will get the error C158 Failed to sign FDL ?!

I work with e-sys 3.24.3. Can someone help me? :-)

which PSdZdata versions are you using and have you checked this with your i-step version?

I am not sure on that one. I think the est-cm-01.04.00.jar file is identical in both 3.24.2 and 3.24.3, but I am not sure about psdz-core.jar. It is never wise to apply patch for one version that was built for another version. Try installing 3.24.2 and patching it, and see if it works.

Yes, I can. C158 Failed to sign FDL means you have an issue with your token solution. Either you are using the wrong token solution for your specific version of E-Sys, or you have the correct one, but it is installed / configured incorrectly.

Hi, so I coded the key fob mirrors/windows. And while I can get them to go down, they won't go back up. Anyone know what I did wrong?

Would you happen to have version 3.24.2? I am still using my token from 3.22, when I asked andy for the new patch, i only got it for 3.24.2

another reason that I could think of that could screw up the VO coding was maybe the fact that I have done "READ CODING DATA" at the beginning - I was paranoid in case I don't have all the files, so I did a full read at start just to be safe
