no, I actually did... I was halfway through putting the tape on the spoiler itself, when I went "wait a minute, this will probably show". A quick test fit without pulling the backing confirmed.... Crisis averted.

Mine was ordered, shipped and delivered in less than 10 days. Great communication from carbon.king on ebay. Came with everything I need to install. Install took less than 5 mins, having a friend helps with alignment.
Pics are below!!

tape goes more towards the inner depressed area so there is no tape or gap. Before peeling the cover off of the tape, lay the spoiler on there, its pretty easy to feel where it goes. It sort of falls right in place, which is unusual for aftermarket. I got mine from Taiwan and not only does it look OE but the paint is dead-on perfect. I have the metallic blue and sheen, metallic, etc all match perfectly. What a great buy at $89 and I got mine within 7 days from the time I placed the order. They sent me confirmation, explained the potential delay due to painting and then emailed me again when it had shipped.

On the other hand, not sure if the thickness of the tape will be enough if you put the tape on the inner depressed groove.... if you know what I mean !!

Those who have done the install... what did you'll do - tape goes on outer raised groove or inner depressed area??

Here's a pic of mine, which is Havana (A17) and it is as close to a perfect match as you can find.

Is anyone's boot lid now not opening all the way (using the fob or buttons)?

If so did you fix and if so, how?

Thanks.

I got mine on a glacier silver. I didnt go with the same body color on the lip spoiler instead I went with the jet black spolier to contrast with the silver. Here is how it looks. Apologizes for the poor quality pics will try and get some better shots soon.

I used the blue painters tape to tie it down firmly overnight but as mentioned here previously the edges are a little difficult to work with.

The initial quality of the product is good! Will have to see how it holds up after a few washes and the shipment was a breeze - it came in well before the aniticipated ETA.

hi guys, i've got a luxury line, mineral white, 18" luxury wheel, I wonder if the carbon spoiler would make it lool abit strange?

i was thinking maybe get it painted to match the MW color so it will look more subtle?

also looking at getting an after market front lips as well

My F30 is dark so I went same color but we have an Audi B8 A4 that is white and I did some of that contrasting, which came out good. Sort of broke up the all white. Just depends, would this be the only contrast. I think your trim is aluminum or chrome and not black? If the spoiler is the only part that is black, not sure I would go that route.
