Tire Pressure for 19's

Hey everyone I recently just purchased a set of AG M590 wheels for my F30 M Sport. I got them in 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et43 with 245/35 and 275/30 tires. My question is what tire pressure should I inflate the setup too. I was never too knowledgeable in deciding on a tire pressure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If you fill your tires with Slime tire sealant, it will become a true run flat and no longer required air to be properly inflated.

Start with 36 psi and adjust from there: if your car is understeering in hard cornering, you can let a few pounds out of the front, if it's oversteering, let a few pounds out of the back. Remember that your TPMS monitoring system will warn you if you have a big differential between individual tires.

On a serious note, this.

I have 19s; different widths though.

Start with the BMW recommendations, which won't be perfect, but a start. Those 275 in the rear likely need 36psi, the front, 34psi would be my start. If your ride is too stiff, drop 1 psi.

Also, hope you have a digital tire gauge. If not, Amazon is a great place to buy one. I use Accutire. Think my good ones were $12-$15 each and light up.

I was going to ask if I should stagger the pressure between front and rear. I currently have my winters at 45psi all around...not sure if that's good or bad just did it to protect the wheel from all the potholes here in Jersey. Definitely wasn't going to do 45psi all around on the summer set up.

Eric you're saying start off at 36 psi all around?

Rolltide32 why do you say the rear will likely need 36psi? Just trying to understand tire pressures not only for my BMW but also in general. Thanks guys for the help!

The Rear are a bit larger, and handle the power in a RWD car. The higher the psi, the stiffer the sidewalls and more speed can be safely be achieved. The fronts tend to hit obstacles more often, so I keep them a bit softer.

45 psi in any car is likely too high. This high psi actually made your tires more susceptible to pothole damage. high psi means stiff, stiff = hard and less forgiving. For winter tires, I'd likely just go with 33-35psi

Can you post a pic of your car with those tires. I'm curious to see how it'll look from the rear. I'm gonna be getting 275's soon as well
