My Euro Delivery Log!

My car was ordered on March 15th 2013

My sales guy got the email from BMW with my production number on Thursday, April 04, 2013 4:17 PM

I never got the welcome package, I called 4/22/2013 and they will be re-sending another one over-night

I got my welcome package last week 4/26/2013...

I'm 34 days away from my delivery, will this car be ready when I get there?

I just check the BMW website "Track My 2013 335i Sedan" and here is the status of my car:

What do you mean, "34 days away from my delivery"? Are you taking European Delivery?

Call 800-932-0381 and give them your production number.

What welcome package?

I ordered a car about a month ago and have not received anything from BMW, or the dealership?? My 328 is getting delivered at the end of May. The car is on the Asian King just of the coast of Southern England today. Full steam ahead!

Sounds like your sales guy didn't put in the order correctly or something. I walked out of the dealer with my prod number. If it isn't in production, you have 10-14 days of being in production, a wait in the port before it gets on the ship, 13ish days on a ship, then it gets in to port, probably another week until it's at your dealer from there. My order just started production a few days ago and my order was put in on the 13th.

And what is this welcome package you speak of?

Two weeks for me from production number to production, another 2 weeks and it'll be out of production. You should be fine from what I've understood

You will be fine...It took several weeks after my production number was assigned to receive the welcome package...my ED is June 6 and my vehicle is in the same status as yours. From what I hear, they usually enter production 20-30 days out from the ED delivery date.

Euro Delivery cars are built 10-15 days before delivery. I am picking up mine on 5/11, and it won't be complete until the end of this week (maybe it's being built in Munich rather than Regensburg or Leipzig, and therefore doesn't have to travel as far to get to the Welt). It used to be that they would produce the car ~30-60 days ahead of your delivery date, but it doesn't make any sense to have a car sit around taking up space.

Make sure your dealer gets the ED Purchase Order filled out, notarized, submitted, etc. no fewer than 30 days prior to your delivery date. And don't let them make you sign the finance contracts any earlier than 7 days prior to your delivery.

If it's for Euro delivery, then the last part holds true. Once it goes into production you're stuck

Well, production completion date has been moved back from the 12th to the 11th and now the 10th. I'm not Euro delivery though

I'm confused now!

So... I just checked My BMW at:

https://www.bmwusa.com/Secured/Conte...ckYourBMW.aspx

And what I had ordered was:

2013 335i RWD
EBII
Blk interior
Nav
Cold
Sport trans with paddles

And here is the pic that shows:

Should I call BMW to find out about the color and options since this image is different from what I'm expecting?

Nope. Those pictures/option lists are frequently incorrect. The only thing you need is a Vehicle Inquiry Report from your CA. This shows exactly what is in BMW's system as far as colors and options, and the only place you need to worry about these items being correct.

I ordered a car 2/28 and took possession of it 5/3. Never got a welcome package, so you are doing better than me.
