Any Spotify-users here? Problem with cover art

Spotify is not fully supported by BMW Apps.

All Spotify and iDrive issues are the result of that.

Even my old VW Golf R could still show song title and artist when connected through USB. The information is there since it works from time to time. How hard could it be to fix?

I couldn't stand this so I switched back to the music app in the iPhone instead. The only downside is that for the last 4 years all my listening has been done in Spotify so my music collection isn't really up to date!

You need to ask that to Spotify, as they are the ones that have to buy/get approved the BMW SDK for BMW Apps.

Pandora, TuneIn, AUPEO!, Rhapsody, Napster and MOG all did and all work fine with BMW Apps.

Same problem with Pandora. Let it suffice to say that connected Apps is not a strong part of the BMW experience.

With a iphone4 fitted into the BMW 'snapin' adaptor and still a problem.

Randomly works and when it does no album art or the first one will come up and never change.
If you do get tracks to play there is an issue with not be able to skip tracks or control any operations from the idrive control knob.

Hopeless really.

i have iphone 6 plus and the latest spotify. the integration is very nice.

the reason why the album art is not showing or sometimes delay is because you need to have a strong data like LTE signal. sometimes if you are on 4G there is a delay on the album art.

im not using any dock, just the USB. premium users here

I use spotify app on my Iphone 4s with media cradle on my M135i with pro nav.

Spotify art work/labels v slow if streaming but no delays when using it in offline mode.

There is a bug in the current Spotify app that means it won't show Album Art for tracks that have been set to Offline mode. It's supposed to be fixed 'soon', but it was reported back in April.

Plugged into USB, if streaming / online, I hear the music only ie album art/tags are blank but can control tracks only via SW buttons. In offline mode, I hear/see everything on idrive and full control via SW buttons OK.

Via BT in either on- or off-line mode, same functionality as streaming via USB.

I use offline predominantly and so happy with functionality other than when I take / make a call, the spotify logo under external devices disappears and to return to spotify, it behaves like BT. I'm sure there'll be a fix for this soon.....

No, I guess it will come in a future update and no update has come since the implementation of BMW Connect.

It seems to have been fixed with the latest update. At least when running connected through USB.

Do any of Yall have the problem that when you have a phone that has already been set up via Bluetooth and you then plug it in via usb it loses the Bluetooth capability to stream music?

Basically I have my phone ready to go with music via Bluetooth but whenever I plug my phone via usb and then if I take it off usb, it shows that my phone can't play music via Bluetooth. It gets really annoying cause then I have to forget the Bluetooth network and set it up again.

Yep, I have this problem. You have to go into the Bluetooth settings on iDrive, and just check off the options again, annoying!
