Actually you'd be surprised how slow the Mustang GTs are.

They only run 13 seconds flat 1/4 mile (On a perfect day and launch, I would say 13.2-13.4) same as a 335i+MPPK.

I actually outrun mustangs by about 1/4 car length (Not too far ahead, just barely, maybe with JB4, I'll be one or two car lengths ahead.) on a roll almost all the time, they weight about the same as the 335i xDrive, so a RWD 335i would probably easily pull away due to power to weight.

I've beaten a new GT from a dig once. Spot on with the 1/4 car length. The look on the passenger's face was priceless as the Mustang had 60 day tags on it so the guy driving it just bought it.

An S3 also tried racing me, that did not end well for him.

Not really a race but once traveling back from visiting family on I-95 I was following a Range Rover Sport and it was going a bit slow but I wasn't tailgating or anything.

All of a sudden they go WOT and take off. I think to myself "It's just a big ass SUV" and also went WOT. Let's just say I never caught up to that Range Rover.

Was wondering about this. Turns out a supercharged RR sport does 0-60 in low 4's with a 1/4 in the 12's.

You guys must be racing some tired mustangs. New Mustang easily running into the 12's. Driving the 340 back to back against a coyote 5.0 the power difference is quite noticeable. Maybe at 5000 feet things might be different but not here at sea level.

Nope. If you're losing vs the 5.0 mustang, it's driver mod, or you're shifting too late, or you have a 6MT.

Mustang GT is the 5.0.

It's best is 12.9 on sticky tires and perfect shifts and everything stock.

In the real world, it's between 13-13.5 seconds depending on driver.

I get this a fair amount, I guess because the 328 is faster than the average sedan on the road but not by a whole lot. C&D clocked the 2016 328 at 5.2 sec to 60, not exactly slow and real world is prob more like 5.5. I am probably closer to low 5's now that I have installed JB+ and it pulls pretty good.
I have taken a few guys by surprise at stoplights and what not but I am 40 with 2 daughters and I am not trying to win any stoplight races... per se.
