Computer keeps saying I should service in 6K miles
Guys,
I have 10K on the car and it still tells me everytime i start the car that i should service in 6K!!! it supposed to be serviced at 12K why doesn't the computer gives me the right thing |

Is scheduled maintenance included (paid for by BMW) in Saudi Arabia? If so, you have your answer. They do as little as possible. If you drive 10K miles in less time than they suspect, they add more miles. Oil services are calculated by miles and time intervals.
If you pay for maintenance in SA, then just ignore it and get an oil change at 12K or so. |

If you trust the engineers and their science, then this is a result of how you've driven the car. If the car has not been driven hard and the oil is still doing it's job, there's no need to replace it yet.
On the other hand, is the people who say this is just their way of making them do as little work on your car for free as possible. There's truth on both sides of the coin.
