435 Interior Trim Swap..

There weren't many choices in Canada for the Interior Trim combo's, but I got one of the early CF Alcantara sets for the 435, and just put it in..

I wasn't too unhappy with the wood, but it's a bit out of context for the car. With the updated Black Grilles, the black semi debadged rear numbers and now the CF interior, me happy. The Embroidered ///M Performance is a bit much, but.. it won't come off.

I like the texture of raw CF and the no glare of the trim .. goes well with the interior roof..

Yes, you're right about the wood being out of place in a sporty loking car like yours. I like the cf-alcantara! Congrats

I just installed the full CF interior in my EB II 335i. I love it. Actually my favorite parts are the CF/Alcantar Hand (E) Brake and gear shifter/surrounding trim. Highly recommend adding them. I agree with you that the M Performance logo is a tad unnecessary, but alas it does not come off. With the added floor mats I just received, my interior looks like ///M puked all over my car. lol

Ebay via dealers.. for the 435 it was approx $750... but the 435 only has 2 door handles, not sure if that makes any difference..

It's also on the BMW Web site, but overpriced there..

OP really tasteful upgrade. So rare in the world of interior mods!

The wood in my X3 looks just right but not in a 4 series.

can anyone tell me where to get the interior trim featured in this video? it looks like a darker version of the diamond patterned aluminum. i'm not a fan of the alcantara in the M performance trim.

It's just the same raw CF throughout.. see the picture for mine. That video has no softened alcantara insert on the dash, that's all.. The raw CF is definitely nice and practical either way... no fingerprints, swirls or glare issues on it either.

is the full raw CF dash insert a factory option? I love the carbon leather trim in my M3, and want to get something as close to possible as that. Hopefully this raw CF doesn't have the plastic coating on top, which really cheapens the look to me. TIA.

No plastic coating on mine.. just the minimum resin required to keep it together. The surface is textured as you would expect.

I had to go hunting even for the CF+Alcantara.. No such factory option in Canada, at least, and the Europeans won't sell it out of the country for fear of Corporate reprisals, I'm guessing..

But clearly, it's available somewhere since it's in the car in the video.. Hopefully it will be an option on the M4 ..
