Thank you all so much for the input! That's why I didn't select MPE with MPPK at first place when I ordered MY2015 435. Definitely gonna go GC Precision after watch videos above.

Since we are all in NJ maybe we should arrange a meet to test out these exhaust systems. I think in the NYC metro area we can get a good representation of MPE/CG/Stock exhausts. I have not seen anyone on here with Akra or Borla in the NE. When I was considering replacing the stock exhaust I sure would have appreciated such an opportunity and I am sure those on the fence will be happy to come and experience the different exhausts.

That deserted road sure could come in handy for the tests

There is no comparison in my opinion.

Keep in mind.

1. CG Precision exhuast is catback, MPE is axle
2. CG Precision is sans-resonator
3. CG Precision has less restriction in the muffler.

I went from a MPE to the CG Precision and so far its been great.

There is a slight bit of droning with the 8AT on Sport or Drive when the valve is open, but nothing terrible.

The best way to describe the sound level is this.

If I'm on a quiet street or morning commute next to a bunch of cars, I feel like a jackass giving too much throttle as its a bit loud.

When its loud outside , or theres not many people/cars around, the pedal mash in open mode, sport tranny, sport+ is awesome.

I drive it 90% in open mode and my commute is local only.

I have the CG Catback no DP, but Map5 JB4 W/Wastegate.

I've owned a lot of exhausts and definitely rank this one highly!

Sure, I'd be happy to meet up to let your hear it.

Incidentally, at the track this past weekend - even amongst all the prepped race cars - my 335 with the CGP exhaust got a LOT of attention. There were a few F82 M4s there, and it sounds sooooo much better in comparison...

I think thats the most major reason I didnt pick up the M3. My 335, with gtHAUS exhaust sounds SOOO much better, and frankly the power is pretty underwhelming compared to the M6...Its just too in the middle for me, but that exhaust sounds great too!!!

but you can get the GC without the dp right? so then the resonator stays with the stock dp? and how will it sound? much less noticeable and much closer to MPE?

Of course you can, I got mine w/o the DP. I wasn't sure if CG can override the CEL.

No man, the resonator goes away with the stock pipe when you replace it with new CG exhaust system. It's that lump mid-way thru the stock exhaust. Took me about 3 hours to install mine yesterday. If I had to do it again, would take me 45 minutes. My 335i had sport exhaust, one long piece from the cat all the way to the exhaust tip. Was clunky to remove because I had to support it all the way thru when dropping it. The CG unit has 2 pieces; front/mid pipe in one continuous piece, and the muffler w/ welded tips. Easy to manage the installation because they were light.

so the basic VS1 will already delete the resonator?

i am guessing the meisterschaft/gthause kit, by including part of the DP, will also delete the resonator?

hard to choose between the 2, especially when they are similarly priced (quad, ev controlled) ....

Here's a picture, CG is left, stock is right. CG is straight thru.

You mean the meisterschaft's "AR" piece? -- I would think so from their picture.

Meisterschaft cost more, AR piece will cost you another $700

A similar system from Meister costs significantly more. Plus, CGP is better quality and fit/finish. And the sound is amaaaaaazing ; )

ok, i think i see the difference now ...
so the meister SR pipe is the rear half of CG pipe and both will delete the resonator ...
and if i want meister's equivalence of CG's entire pipe, i would need to get meister's AR pipe as well and that would make it much more costly ... hope i got it right ...
thanks guys for clearing it all up ....

First off, amazing review! It really really helped lure me into the CG exhaust, and thank you "willpower" for informing us about the exhaust type, I was really worried that it wasn't a catback and that my dad would object to me buying it once he found out it removes the catalytic converters. I'm going to get this exhaust during the summer after University ends, again thank you all!

Anyone know if the CG VS1 is or will be available with dual black tips as an option aside from the quad black tips?

Yes it is also available in dual black tips! If you go to the store on our website you can see black tips are an option without getting the quad tip option. Sorry for the confusion, our marketing photos just show the quad black tip but any combination of polished or black, dual or quad, is available.
