Port installed rear spoiler

How do they attach these at the port? I assume they are bolted on with adhesive used? Or is it all adhesive? My M Perf. painted spoiler is a bit loose on one side (it wiggles a little when pressing gently on it). I'm taking it in to be fixed. Just wondering what I can expect them to do to fix it.

For a trunk spoiler all you need is 3M double stick tape

Tape is all that is necessary. If its loose, the proper fix would be to remove it completely, clean up the tape residue and reinstall with new tape.

Thanks guys...I'll suggest they do that as opposed to trying to shove some adhesive in there without removing.

I would suggest letting the dealership deal with the mess. Body shop that does work for my dealer has said he has had QUITE a few show up with the double-sided tape not making contact along the whole trunk lid.

This was the case with mine and it fell off after a while.

Oh for sure...I ain't messing with it. I meant I was going to make sure THEY wouldn't just try shoving some adhesive in there. I want it done right.

Hmm...this evening I pressed down firmly on the spoiler and it's no longer loose. What do you think, still take it in? (It's been pretty warm these last several days in the high 80s, low 90s)

They're not gonna touch it if there isn't an issue. Take it in when the problem replicates itself.
