340whp/400wtq sounds so nice. Add in some weight reduction and the car would be amazing.

Like I said above, they'll give direction in April.
It's March 5th, so 26 more days.

How many are actually going to buy this? I'm starting to wonder if BMW can't get the limp mode issue figured out with the M Sport line, why we trust them with this tune...

Limp mode with M-Sport? I haven't seen that yet...although I've only had my car for 3 days. I did notice that the oil temp runs around 230 in the cooler weather we're having now. I wonder what this summer will bring?

that's on the warmer side for winter. the limp mode is due to some electrical fan switch issue, car runs hot and then goes into limp.

i haven't gone over 190 (or whatever the first mark is) on my temp gauge since i Purchased in Oct 2012. But I just saw, you're in TX. I'm in CT. lol!

160 doesnt seem normal. That's not even warmed up as far as I know. I'm thinking 230/240ish is 'normal'. That's where my car runs when it's fully warmed up.

I corrected my post, I meant 190.

yes, that's normal, sorry corrected my post. I believe anything over that 250 mark isn't right. In the winter's though, I'd be surprised if it hit that...unsure where OP is.

I originally wanted this, but now I'm thinking I'll wait to see what Dinan releases before making a decision...

My suggestion to everyone who plans to chip their car, drive it in stock for at least a few months--that way you can appreciate the difference when it comes.

It's amazing the power the car has when you first get it. Then a year later you're thinking, hey more please!

I'm in winter right now w/ snow and its like 30*F and I hit 250 degrees if I go WOT and through the canyons. Thats why I think my electric fan and thermostat is still fucked up.

Dinan's tune is probably months away.

yeah I drive literally 60 miles each way to work, through vast valleys, up to 110 mph, and I rarely see above 190.

I hit 240 during some stop and go after driving it hard, but..in the winter, just doesn't make sense.

Sheesh, how cold it is up there? My car will reach the 230ish range given enough time regardless of how hard I'm running it in 30 degree weather. It takes awhile sometimes, but even putting along it'll get there in 30 mins.

Dinan's customer service is like any other dealer. You have to know who to talk to in order to get things done. I've dealt with Dan on several occaisions and he'd been very helpful.

All they said to me is that they currently have 2 F30's, a 328 and 335, and are working on items...they own them, so they must be testing a number of items.

I only need 2 items:
1. FMIC
2. TUNE

If they discover S2/S3 requires an additional oil cooler, then I'll add that.

If not, PPK it is...I just don't know, since I might be moving, if I should consider Dinan since I'm leaving my dealer that is a Dinan retailer..
