Hello, Another Noob to F30 But not to BMW
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com So new car? Well by default i looked at F20 1 series as it fell within my budget and as with all modern BMW's it had been out long enough for me to start to love the looks and not like a Bread Van i thought the E87 looked at launch. Very quickly i for a 125d in AW with the right spec for me and at a good price! so i put the motions in place to sell my car. Unfortunately that 125d went as quick as i found it . So back to the search. In the same BMW branch i found another 125d this time in black. but at just over 2K more in price because it had professional NAV. But... No leather, heated seats, parking sensors, tinted windows, xenons. I very nearly went for it, but as it had none of the spec i like due to NAV - Which i don't need i decided against Then i spotted a F30 320d Msport in AW with 19" 403 alloys. 62 plate, 8k on clock, That will do me So i cut a deal and got on with selling my 1 series! And that brings be to say bye to my little baby beemer. Had fun but time to move on. Here are some pico of my old car and ill post some of the new F30 when i collect on saturday |

Congrats. Loved being duty stationed in England, hated how dirty my car got driving in the muck on A roads. That cloud overhead in the F30 picture reminding me of that. LA sunshine for me :-)

So i have my car!!! Whoo
I love it, feels so much grounded than the 1 series, and the extra power if definatly noticeable. The steering wheel is just perfect, Size, Weight, Thickness and with the new design you can see the dials 100% A fairly impressive feature is the driving mode (Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus) You can really feel the difference through the modes. I have been using Eco Pro for as much of the 200 miles (A few Sport mode moments from a few traffic lights )i have done since saturday morning when i collected it and according to the computer its telling me i already have an extra 22 miles. So from a full tank i should be looking at an extra 70+ miles which will be brilliant as thats another work journey for me every week. The only thing thats annoying me so far is 1st no rear view wiper lol, I've always been in hatchbacks and it just feels weird not being able to wipe off the water. 2nd is that the gear stick feels huge! so much taller than the Msport one in my e87. Does anyone else find this?? may have to look into having a short shift fitted. I am off work tomorrow so will post up some shots and if i have time ill get the GoPro out and make a small video. I have already ordered a set of black kidney grills, Also will soon be ordering a boot spoiler. In time i may fit the aero from splitter/lip. And black stripes for down the sides. Haha, Well it has chucked it down today..All day! So now my nice clean car is full of crap!! |

but your front does look a little higher than mine stock, could be the smaller/lighter engine compared to the 335i

Well done and nice pics. Thanks for helping set my mind at ease for ordering an M Sport Line with Alpine White! I was going back and forth between the Black Sapphire and the Alpine.

Perfect car!
In Boston it is a waste of money to drive your car on 19", unless you are ok to replace the entire rim/tire every month, potholes all over the place How is the ride quality before and after H&R?

The car with the H&R is 'M-Sports', Agreed does look perfect.
Just got back from a trip to IKEA, and when we stopped off at starbucks spotted two AW F30 Msports, One with the Mperformance kit. Helped me decide that i want to go for that look with mine in the future. although i think the rear spoiler was a rep (maybe all was) because it looked a very cheap plastic. |
