Steering wheel vibration after car left for a week

I valeted and left my car for a week at the airport and immediately noticeable when I returned was terrible steering wheel vibration. It started around 80km/hr but most noticeable at 120km/hr.

My 2012 328i has had the discussed vibration since I got the car but it was very minor and only noticeable in the steering wheel - now it seems the entire car vibrates.

Did the company I left the car with damage it? Could the tires have developed flat spots in a week?

Flatspots for sure, the RFT tires are really bad, but the problem is the car, they should handle it!

I have had car vibrations - not so strong in the sterring wheel but shaking at about 120 km/hr the whole car was shaking , the back of the passenger seat was moving significantly . After telling me that was due to
low tire profile (19 " rims) trying tire pressure adjustments , équilibrate the rims finally it appears that the tyres had a flat , after changing the tires everything was OK.
FYI i had conti tyres changed for bridgestone ( as i had on m'y E 90). Tyres were changed free of charge by the dealer.

Whenever I leave the car parked for several days - especially in the cold - I feel the flat spots on the lousy RFT's. After a few minutes of driving, the tires seem to "round" out.

After parking the car again (this time in a warmer garage), it seems OK and I can't notice the vibrations now. I was really worried, the car was almost not drivable!

ANY tire will end up with flat spots after parking for an extended period of time. Especially when it's cold. It's not isolated to run flats. As you've discovered, driving them until they get up to temperature or parking somewhere warm corrects it.

Same thinking, in fact in my experience non run-flats have proven worse for flat spotting in my driving environment. Drive home with warm tires, leave for a couple of days on a gravel drive, drive off on a cold morning and it takes several miles to 'round' the wheels again. Winter tires have the least issue for me.

happene

That happened to me a few days ago. I checked the rims, 18" stock with Pirelli snows. The wheels were full of snow. Blew out the wheels and the shake was gone. Those wheels have wide interiors and can accumulate ice and snow that skews the wheel balance.
