Full Individual leather in an 2018 F31 Touring?

I've consulted the online configurator as well as the 2018 ordering/pricing guide posted in the forum but I don't see any mention of the the full leather dashboard/full Individual leather seats being available in the F30/31 but do see them in the 4 series F32/36. Now I know production of the sedan F30 is set to end this October 2018 but any word on the F31 Touring making it to 2019? I would really love to snatch up a fully loaded wagon in this body style before end of production but I promised myself my next BMW would at the minimum have the full leather dashboard and I would love to have the full Merino leather seats as well.

Tell your dealer that you want the Individual Full Leather in your wagon and make them contact the VIP Ordering Specialist at BMWNA for an answer and pricing. You may be able to configure any combo color in your dash, doors and center console leather if you want for a considerable price.

Thanks! I'm not really wanting anything too wild as far as color combos or leather placement. Just the full leather dashboard like I see on a lot of F80s in black and the seats themselves in black merino leather (or whatever it is called as long as it's not Dakota Leather). I seem to recall the full leather dashboard was around $1K when ordered at time of delivery on the F30/32 a while back and I see in the 4 series GC that full leather dashboard/Inidividual Leather seats is a bit less than $4K total. I'm estimating $4K to get it done in the F31 Touring even if it's plain ole black.

Any thoughts on how long this would add to a build with a normal exterior color - Alpine White?

Only BMWNA can tell you about any production delay if Full Leather (ZA) is approved for your F31. Go to www.BMW.de and you can see that Full Leather is available for the F31 in 5 colors, which means that most probably BMWNA can add it to your US order if requested.

Thanks for the quick reply and help! I'll check out the German site.

As do I. I really had no idea the Individual world existed since my car was a pretty heavily optioned car that had been on the dealership's lot for some time when I bought it.

Haha! Sounds like me. I was seriously looking at retrofitting a full leather dashboard to my F30 but even finding discounted prices on the OEM part from our vendors and factoring in qualified labor was going to be a total of several thousand dollars. Thus, I'm riding it out until the end of my current F30 lease and going for it on my next car.

FYI: use the F32 US option prices for Full Leather for your F31.

For example, BMWNA does not combine the upper door section leather option with the Leather dash option (4M5 = $950). Thus the German price for Leather dash include the upper doors at $1500. However, BMWNA may not even offer 4M5 as a special request for your F31, but may force you to special order the complete Full Leather option (dash, upper door and seats) for $4000 as in the F32 "Extended" Leather option.

Good point. I remember the Individual 440i GC I built had the full Individual seats, dash, door cards at $4K. So for my estimations now I'll use $4K as best case, and $5K as worst case.

If I were you I'd be budgeting around $6K give or take for standard black Merino with leather dash.

Lead time could also be around 10 weeks.

BMW NA does not offer this upholstery on the F31 so it will be a special request.

I also believe the black merino comes with cashmere (i.e., beige) stitching and piping. Just an FYI unless specs have changed. Not that I've been keeping up with it lately. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=929164

I hope this works out for you as I'm sure you will love merino leather.

I checked out the linked thread with pics of Black Merino...beautiful! The cashmere stitching and piping will look sick contrasted with the Alpine White exterior!

As far as the 10 weeks lead time, is that 10 weeks from when I place the order to estimated delivery or is that 10 weeks on top of however long a typical order takes. I'm looking to take delivery right around October/November of this year as I'll be able to get out of my current F30 lease with the pull ahead program and some cash out of my pocket (I have to get out early as I didn't get near enough miles) so I guess I should ideally place my order around June/July, right?

Roughly speaking that is from the time BMW NA accepts your order. I'd be working on the order in early June and try to finalize it by late June.

Have your dealer ask the special order person for a rough estimate and explain that you want to take delivery around October/November.

You should have a full spreadsheet or document outlining ALL the options with option codes for your dealer to hand over to BMW.

If you need assistance just PM me and I'll help you out.

Most importantly, if your dealer/salesperson has not processed a special order or has very little experience with this then I'd be very careful if I were you.

You need to confirm each and every option code. That's BMW's language and anything else won't work or will create problems.

It's a weird process.

Amaro Brown is really nice but I don't like the white stitching. Oxford Green is a beautiful color especially in the sun. I would have preferred either black stitching or green stitching to match the outside.

Didn't realize there was a market for selling such body parts. Congratulations if you found one....
