Within the last month, my 2014 F30 has stopped being able to see my most recent calls and no longer displays my contact names, only the numbers, when I have an incoming call. This is from an iPhone 7. Used to work perfectly. I can still make calls, either by dialing within iDrive or pressing the voice control and instructing Siri to call a contact by name. Phone works fine, just stopped displaying the info. But I really like being able to see who is calling without taking my eyes off the road, and the only phone number I recognize is my wife's.

Anyone else have similar behavior? I know my iPhone has received a few updates over the last while but I'm not positive if it started happening after one in particular. Has BMW made any recent updates OTA? I haven't manually updated anything since last fall.

Not really sure what to do. Phone has been restarted and plugged back in, car turned on and off many times. The behavior started a few weeks ago as best I can tell and has remained unchanged since then. Like I said, everything else is working.

My best guess is that an Apple update broke it, but if that were true, it seems like everyone would have the same issue, so I'm not really sure. I looked around on the forums and didn't see anyone else with the issue so I figured I'd ask.

Had something vaguely similar happen in my F31. To fix it go into the bluetooth settings on your iphone, and where you see your car listed click on the little i symbol. Once in there check 'Sync Contacts' if it isn't already. An update turned it off on my phone.

This fixed my text messages too. I have a ton of them and the car always selects the LAST text which is insane because I scroll for what feels like 10 minutes until I get to the top. I unchecked and rechecked all the boxes and voila, I'm back "at the top" again! (at least my texts are haha) Thanks man. (using Pixel XL 2)
