Yes, the car is Mugen from top to bottom. How could you tell from just that picture? You have sharp eyes... not sure I could even ID the bumper from that angle

Now that's an oxy moron lol.
May wanna check out BBS weights, they are generally averaging on the heavy side by a few pounds a wheel. Unless you get in to F1 territory which isn't justified by the price so that's a moot point.

For me, I love what BBS wheels stand for. Their designs are timeless in my eyes and are the benchmark in which a lot of other wheel manufactures are compared to. I like knowing that BBS wheels are grounded in their motorsport heritage and that their wheels are over-engineered.
At the same time, because of all the aforementioned things, they are much slower at bringing new products and designs to market. As a result, their designs are oftentimes considered classics, which is not necessarily a bad thing. With the explosion of new wheel manufacturers out there, BBS wheels may not be as popular as they once were, but will always remain the gold standard in my eyes. As for weight, 2 piece forged wheels are usually heavier because of the extra hardware needed to assemble the wheels. It's the same for all the forged wheel manufacturers out there. And a lot of times, they share the same forged face so some wheels have more pad (metal) on the back so that they can accommodate certain offsets and brake kits. If you want the lightest and strongest wheels out there, get 1 piece forged wheels. But I'm a huge sucker for wheels with lips so I need multi-piece construction. I'm very happy with my 20 BBS LM setup. And they're lighter than my stock 19" 403M wheels by a few pounds so I'm very happy.

My Volvo rolls on Fikse FM10's. Three piece forged 18's that weigh roughly 19lbs.
Equivalent LM's, just shy of 25. Both have a Motorsport heritage. Both cost pretty close to the same I would imagine. Fikse are engineered smart too, much better than my HRE C20's I had. The weight will always be my beef with BBS unfortunately. Especially when there's so many equivalents available now a days, in most cases cheaper too. Guess you gotta give props to bbs though, generally competition drives down prices, they don't seem to budge on theirs because people will pay it haha.

Martin and I both know all too well about wagons (avants). and the demise of powered models here in the US.

When we purchased the shop F30, a set of BBS wheels arrived within a week. BBS is an excellent manufacturer that has been setting standards for decades, but they do not have as many off-the-shelf colors and styles as other manufacturers. Nevertheless, they will always be one of the best options.

Some good posts here and it's all about preference for many and those who know quality wheels can't go wrong with the established companies like BBS, Volk and others. The majority of the new comers use the same supplier and their forged wheels are all machined out of the forged block rather than what BBS and Volk do on many of their wheels which are stamped forged, which produces a much stronger wheel. These companies tend to also get certifications on all there size combinations which increases pricing which it should as they proven the quality if their product. I gave it to trying a different manufacturer and had a couple sets of HRE wheels. Beautiful wheels but very overpriced. Vendors love these brands as they make the largest margin while they can't do the same as with BBS and Volk often due to contractual obligation to sell at fixed pricing. /sermon I'm glad I'm back to BBS. I love my LMs and I owe it to Andrew for getting them on his so I can get reintroduced to a classic.

Absolutely love the F31! Martin knows how much I lust after his car! If I could do it over again, I'd get the F31... oh yeah, we can't here in the US. Damn you BMW!!! I just might move to Canada for one, haha. Thanks for the kind words, Martin. You're too kind.
I love those CH-Rs and CHs. Wish BBS made a better 20" CH-R fitment than the super high offsets they offer. Give us more options BBS and we'll keep buying!
